Bronchitis
posted 3rd Aug
All through my pregnancy I was able to avoid getting sick. Now a week and a half from the end I have bronchitis. I can barely breath! How in the world am I going to be able to deliver this baby if I can't breath? I'm so frustrated now. I wish I could put the birth off until I'm better, but I think she's going to be coming soon now because of all the coughing I have been doing. (coughing scares the baby, it's actually kind of cute)
and to top it all off... my husband won't let me close the bedroom window when I sleep! I'm running a humidifier to keep my lungs clear while I sleep, but it does no good because the window is open. Tonight I'm telling him he has two choices; close the window or sleep on the couch!

I'm so sorry, I was sick right before delivery with my first. It's amazing how your body (or at least mine) temporarily recovered for the delivery. It was pretty neat! I hope you feel better soon!

Cool outside air is really good for bronchitis .. so if its not sweltering hot I'd leave the windows open and toss the humidifier unless its a cool mist one . The hot ones are notoriously bad for asthma, bronchitis, croup etc.
Get on some meds - you can get a script thats safe !
