baby constipation relief?

my son is 4 weeks old and experiancing some constipation problems - no bm for almost 24hr now he is very fussy along with a lot of grunting and pushing. i know its from the iron in the formula and its common- but i would like some tips on how to fix him___ hes pretty miserable 

PediaLax glycerin suppositories work great. Just use a little bit, though, since he's so small.

a little bit of pedialte..or a half a teaspoon prune juice should assist him....

where can i find that? and how long will it take to work?

yes the glycerin suppositories work wonders!!! my baby has always had a constipation issue

yupp...love walgreens...we need them here in Canada

Just give him some water, plain, warm water. give it like an hour, he'll poop I promise lol

thanks so much i got the PediaLax glycerin suppositories and now i have a very happy sleeping boy! 

My little one is also have somewhat a constipation problem or bowel movement. She only poops in the morning but with pain. The rest of the day she doesn't til the evening time she tries, she cries and cries. i was literally getting scared i can see she is pushing but nothing sometimes it be just gas. i don't know what to do change. She is on Enfamil w/Iron now and was looking up online for other formulas and a solutions to solving it. PLEASE I NEED SOME ADVISE AND SUGGESTIONS!!!!

this was what my son was like and I put him on Good Start Supreme and he started pooping with ease almost instantly. As you know I'm sure, all babies are different, but that is my experience!

My son is 5 weeks old. HE i primarily breastfed. I am suplimenting with some formula because i needed to get his weight up. I was doing hald and half now its about 90% breastmilk. He has been content after feedings where i was not earlier. He has always had poop issues even in the hospital, (no merconium for a day and a half. now he is going every 3 to 5 days and sometimes it is hard and painful. Any suggestions. Did the bath and Massage thing. Looking for any advice.
