Breastfeeding, how do you stop?

Okay Ive been breastfeeding my son now for 5 months, Im also pregnant with number two. My doctor wants me to get my son onto formula buttttt the problem is ive tried so many kinds, he doesnt like any of them. The reason my doctor thinks it is a good idea for me to stop is b/c for some reason my body cant handle both and my health is declining b/c of it. Even though Im looking like I got hit by a Semi, I want to keep him on the boob for as long as I can but I need him to be on it part time. My son likes juice but after only a few sips he wants the boob, and he will cry if i try to give him more juice. Any advice on how to get him to accept, juice or formula?

put chocolate in there...kidding IDK what to tell you... I hope that you are feeling better soon though and you get a little girl....

Chocolate lol, my mother let him try a little bit of a chocolate cup cake, he loved it but i wanted to kill her, he was only 4 months old!

You should just pick to a formula that is affordable to you.
And pump your milk and do half n half in the bottles.
and then slowly just add more formula and less breast milk

hehehe...thats what grandparents are for though .... I think anyway... LOL... I hope that you figure out something for your son ... hey he will be getting those teethies real soon and you will probably be glad he isnt using you as a chew toy

ooo yeah! my mom said my older sister bit her when she was still breast feeding. and I guess she still has a scarr.. ouch!

okay hmm i never thought about that i guess ill have to go dig the one the hospital gave me out and clean it and what not.

Lol my son likes to bite and bit me so hard that i have a scar but he still has no teeth and he's been teething since he was 3 months! My problem with my mother giving my son chocolate without my permission is that, it should be my choice on when to give him something not hers, its not her son, so its not her decision. Also I worry about my son turning out like my mom and sister, its just not healthy the life styles that they live. Hell im so paranoid that i make sure everything he eats and drinks is organic!

Yeah, love the game just dont have the time anymore though. With my son the first trimester and a half, i was unable to play b/c I slept 24-7 and lost the passion for it now...I just dont have the energy b/c its getting sucked out of me two ways. I cant even look in the mirror right now b/c I look like i just walked out of a concentration camp.

OMG.... scary and I totally agree with you not wnating to give your son things and it should be your decision... I dont give my kids organic though... I have heard it has no extra benefits... but I dont like giving them fruit and veg that doesnt need peeling... so I prefer and orange over an apple for sure that way you can clean all the chemical;s off... scary...

i give him organic b/c its scary what kindof hormones they put in food! I even drink soy milk, unless i can find milk in stock that doesnt contain growth hormones, which im finding more and more of. Mmm milk, im gonna have to go get me some, ill drink it with my famous burritos that ill be making today

Probably my second appointment from now or the one after, I have a new OB this time and i dont know when she likes to do hers, but most likely around 20 weeks as usual.
