Pregnancy Acne!! Yikes

Okay here's the story, I had my acne under control and it was just about gone, maybe one or two break-out a month. And when I got pregnant it seems to just go wild on me! The expoliant isn't working like it used to, and now I'm washing my face twice a day and expoliating once a day. The doc told me that there was nothing I could do about it. I mean there has to be something. I stopped the white-head, but the black-heads are getting worse. It doesn't look bad, but you know, when its you, you notice it. Any advice?

Honestly, your doc was right. And you need to eb careful what products you use on your face while pregnant too. A lot of the skin cleansers etc aren't meant for pregnant people to use. Mine was horrid too, it evened out somewhat as my pregnancy has gone on. You just have to tough it out. Sorry I'm not more help.

Change your pillow case every couple of days (make sure it's cotton) or put a clean tshirt over it ever couple days. That helps alot since blackheads are caused by oil and excess oil on my pillowcase makes my face soooo much worse. And what type of facewash are you using? I use Noxzema Triple Clean which has triclosan in it. It's the same antibacterial that's in dishsoap, so as far as I know it's perfectly safe during pregnancy.

Oh mann   I have it bad. .On my chest and shoulder blades. It's not really acne though. Before I found out I was pregnant I thought it was a heat rash. So it's not like pimples, it's more of a rash but it's majorly noticable.

Sorry to say it, but acne really can't be helped by much of anything. That's why there are so many remedies that are being sold every day-if something actually worked, then there wouldn't be a whole industry devoted to getting rid of zits because everyone would just use the one remedy that works. I'm 24 now and I still break out and I've tried so many things over the years. I think that pregnancy has actually helped my complexion, though. I still get a few zits here and there, but the color and smoothness of my skin is much nicer.

Boy are you lucky. I'm just using oil of olay expoliants and hand soap. To be honest never thought of my pillow case... I think I'll try that. I was looking at soaps at wal-mart today but wasnt sure which is the best to buy since there was so many my head was spinning today.

i was using clean and clear and it seemed it wasnt workin my face wouldnt clear up. ive been usin rubbing alcohol on my face for about a week twice a day and its almost all cleared up now.

I use sea breeze, but it doesn't seem to be working for my pregnancy acne :[
