Yeah that is why I was so confused because I got a snow white BFN with an Answer test and 3 BFP's with dollar store tests. And yea someone had said that it looked like an internet opk...however it said directly on the sealed package that it was an HCG strip used in doctors offices. So maybe these tests are made by a different manufacturer?? Whoknows! I don't think there was a pregnancy to begin with.

Me either! I have read several threads about false positives with dollar store tests. With mineother members seem to think they are OPK's which makes it even worse if they are packaging the wrong product! It's better to save yourself the heartache and fork out the big bucks for a more reliable test.

When i saw that i assumed they packaged the wrong thing! because all IC opk are green and hpt are blue ya know! it would definately explain the faint line. idk, i hope you get your bfp real soon

Yeah, the whole thing was just sick and wrong lol! I went through the emotions of thinking it was possible only to be let down in the end. AF has arrived! So no pregnancy here...I think this batch is all screwed up at my local dollar store. First they didn't have any lot numbers, then they did, and now come to find out they may not even be pg tests. I am personally never buying them again, but I've heard lots of women getting good results with them...

I wonder if the IC ones maybe a bit dodgy too? ugh i duno, im waiting till af is due this time cos im sick of the disappointment. Only prob is, i had my pos OPK 3 days ago and still no temp rise. I read it can be upto 4.5 days before the temp rise, but it makes it difficult to tell how long my luteal phase is   i wana know when i can test!! I think reg tests are the way to go though...

Well girls, took another test this morning and it was a BFN  . Would BC possibly change the answers?

Sadly, no. BC doesn't affect the test results. The tests measure hCG levels and birth control has estrogen and progesterone.
