My face has broken out since day one..what can I do??

posted 2nd Aug
So my face has broken out since I found out I was pregnant.. And I just can't seem to make it stop. I am going to ask my nurse when I go in on the 11th but this is just driving me crazy. What can I use? I read somewhere that certain things weren't good to use while pregnant..My face has always been clear except for when I am pregnant and when I am on my period. I just want my face back..

I'm not sure what you can use for sure, but I know you CAN NOT use proacitive while pregnant. I'm having the same problem though, so I can sympathize

I use Noxzema Triple Clean Antibacterial Foaming Cleanser I think it's called. It has triclosan in it, which is the same antibacterial found in dishsoap, so it's okay as far as I know. I know they say we're not supposed to use salacylic acid while pregnant and benzoyl peroxide is iffy. But the Noxzema Triple Clean really helps my face out a lot, plus it's not too expensive! I bought mine at Dollar General for about $4.

Why can't you use Proactiv?

i use proactive, of course i asked the docter first, she said using the cleanser is fine, but the toner and repairing lotion, u have to use with caution, but everyone's pregnancy is different, just use a product that you can rinse off

No salacylic acid while pregnant, and benzoyl peroxide isn't recommended either. Those are the 2 main ingredients in Proactiv. I can't use it anyways, bc I am allergic to the benzoyl peroxide and I get hives.

I exfoliate everyday with a mild exfoliant.. I use a gentle cleanser (I can't use anything with salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide).. and a moisturizer.. It keeps things under control for me..

Does the one side of your face happen to be the side you sleep on?? I know that mine is worse on the side I generally sleep on. So, I make sure to change my pillowcase often, or cover it with a clean t-shirt and it helps SO SO much!
