Help with middle name?

Hi this is my first post here.  

I am expecting in late December and don't know the gender quite yet (will know in 2-3 weeks) and my husband and I have 99% decided on first names.

Boy - Alexander _____Wilkerson
Girl - Mathilda ______Wilkerson

Obviously the last name is a bit long, so a nice short middle name is preferable (one or two syllables). Nothing too out of the ordinary, or at least no off-beat spellings.

My choice for a girl is Mathilda Luree but my husband seems aprehensive. For a boy he suggested Alexander James, as James is his middle name, his father's name, and his grandfather's name.

Mathilda Elise..?

I really like Alexander James.

Mathilda Rose for the girl.

With a long first and last name, I'd stick to a one syllable (or short) middle name.

Matihilda Rose
Mathilda Sage
Matihilda Elise
Mathilda Faith

I like the boys name Alexander Reece or Alexander Bryce...i dont care for the girls name but Mathilda Mariah!!

Wow some of you have said names I was already considering (Rose, Elise, Faith...)
Just to let everybody know Mathilda is a family name on my side, I wasn't too fond of it at first, but it has grown on me.

When I do decide on something I'll have to come back and let everybody know.

lol we're naming out son alexander.. it was going to be alexander dominic rodriguez but we (or mainly me) feel like it's too powerful! my bf's name is eric james but goes by james and i was thinking about the middle name james but he complained about it..ha..so i'm in the same boat =/ so now we're thinking again and i'm getting induced on the 7th! ahh.. lol so basically i'm looking for a first name or middle name..but still going to keep alexander. good luck on your name!

Mathilda is adorable. I love love love it. We would have considered it but, hubby's ex boss had a daughter w/that name. I swear she looked like either an elf out of lord of the rings or from the cookie factory in a tree. She was a white blond w/huge ice blue eyes and pointy ears. We still tease that his family was made of keebler elves (they all looked like that) LOL still, a very very cute name that will grow well w/her.

My sons middle name is Alexander so I like it!  I like the Alexander James idea we are using family middle names for this one too!
I'm going to suggest Mathilda Mae, Mathilda Layla or Lelah, Mathilda Kate, Mathilda Paige, and Mathilda Skye for your girl. By the way I love the name Mathilda we had that one on our list when we had our son.

LOL I will try not to think of a keebler elf if it's a girl LOL Though, I must say when my daughter was born her ears were so pointy my mom called her a "changeling"  

I like Skye but my daughters godmother has a boy named Skyler and a girl with a middle named Sky so it seems a little redundant. I recently found out my husbands gramma;s middle name is Paige so I have really been thinking about that.

So far with the suggestions included I am leaning towards Paige, Faith, and Luree (still). I like Grace but it is my husbands mom's, and sisters middle names (neither of which am I too fond of...) are Grace too.

For a boy I was also thinking of Orion? Is that too werid? Alexander Orion?

I like the name Orion it's very different and Mathilda Paige is a really cute name!

I'm really thinking Orion but I just don't know how most of the family will feel about something unusual. Most of them thought Zoe was unusual when I had my first. UGH

BUT, I did come up with another girl name. Loren (Like Lauren) for a girl. I really, really like that.....

SO Alexander Orion or James and Mathilda Loren or Paige so far. ^_^ You know, I am probably going to change my time a million times in the next 4 months, huh?
