Swimming lessons..??

I have been wanting to put hayden in swimming for awhile now, just havent really had the time to do it.he loves the water. Does anyone have their toddler in swimming? What is it all about? Is it something you would recommend doing?

I don't have my daughter in swimming but i have taught swimming for about 5 years now. As far as what they do... they teach them to blow bubbles, kick their feet, move their arms, and teach them to go under water. They youngest child i've taught that could REALLy swim 19 months. Oh and some places do mommy and me classes, i would look into that first

My sis in law put my nephew in classes and he LOVES it!
We have a pool at our house and every time he comes over he wants to swim.
He used to be afraid of the water but he's loving it now...
He is 2 years 3 months....... not sure what goes on in the classes though.

Ya i would want to go in the water with him.. hes 14 months almost 15 months on the 7th.. is that too young?? i have heard it really does them good..

no thats no to young at all. I've been teaching my daughter since she was 6 months (because i don't trust anyone else to do it just yet) where i taught the mommy-n-me class started at 6 months. It alot of singing and playing to get them use to the water. The teacher walks around and takes turns with each baby to get them use to being away from mommy in the water.

My nephew did the same thing but 2 weeks after his classes started he's all about the water! Now I'm worried to take him out with me to the lake! Little terd is quick! lmao!

nates 18 months and LOVES the water....its winter here now-but as soon as summer rolls around we have a pool and the beach.....I cant wait!
I definatly think you should try it! The moms and me classes sound super fun!!!

I want to put Landon in swimming classes !
He loves the water.
I just thought he would be to young.
He just turned 13 months.

Both of my boys are in swim classes. The oldest is 4, he has alwasy been very cautious but now is doing cannon balls off of the diving boards and is taking his first strokes, about 6 feet at a time. It has been the best thing for him.

My youngest is 21 months and he started taking mommy and me swim classes last summer and is again this summer. He loves the water and the classes, he is as brave as his big brother, if not more.

The classes are fun and worth it, Most won;t do children only classes until the age of 3, under 3 a parent must be with them in the water.
