Migraines anyone?

Okay so...I have never had debilitating headaches before. I have had your average headache that hurt, but nothing that made me sick or made me helpless. Tuesday I experienced a headache that made mefeel like I was going to die. I vomitted all day and couldn't move my body at all. I was in so much pain. Anyway, I went to the hospital because I was scared because it was so unlike me to have something like this. They did a spinal tap to rule out meningitis and an MRI. They kept me on IV pain killers and gave me a caffeine drip. The admitted me and kept me for almost 3 days. Still no answer as to what caused this.

My question is: Has anyone had this happen before? I don't know if it's my hormones with this pregnancy. My first pregancy was so easy. Please let me know if this hashappened to anyone! Thanks!

i have no idea, i just remember during my 1st trimester i had really really bad headaches that made my vision spotty and everything seemed to be spinning, the only way i treated it was taking a nap and eating something with sugar like fruit. i hope everything is truly okay with you, im sure nothings wrong!

yikes. I've been having some really HORRID headaches. that last for days at a time.
but nothing like that, that would make me want to go to the er.
I dunno.
probably from your hormones if they found no other reason.

spinal tap doesnt sound too fun  

I am 9 weeks pregnant and i get minor headaches sometimes, most of the time it hurts when i stand up or do a fast movement. But nothing as bad as you. My cousing is 7 months pregnant and ever since she was 2 months pregnant she would complain about excrusiating headaches, she went to the doctor and they prescribed her tylenol 3. Even after taking tylenol the headache wouldnt go away, now she still gets headaches but not as bad. I think it's all the progesteron in your body. That is a normal pregnancy symptom.

I was told to go in if I get headaches like that any time during my pregnancy.

It wasn't fun! The thing I was most worried about was getting all of thosenarcotics and putting the baby is harm's way with the spinal tap and the MRIto see what was wrong. I hope the baby managed ok through it all. It is so sad to me that the baby could feel effects of the pain killers and sleeping meds.
