Anyone not wanting or wanted to know the gender?

Is there anyone else here who did not want to know the gender of their baby? I keep looking around and everyone seem to know or wants to know, even where I live and in the parenting classes I am going to, they all know the gender, or cannot wait to find out! Many have even said they would get a rescan to find it out. I know it makes it easier, but is there anyone else who thinks like me, and wanted to wait till that special day? Anyone else wanted to have a little more exsitment in the pushing? I actually got offered in the scan room, the woman looked at me weird when I said, "nope I do not want to know!" I thought if I knew the gender it would not be as exsiting for me, I want to be there going, "what is it?!" every two seconds after each push! Lol. Plus I thought it would give me more to talk about with people in the room, when I am in labour. I know it means I cannot buy any pink or blue yet or sort out the room all nice and pretty, but I do not mind it being in just white for the first few weeks or so!
So anyone else who did not want to know want to share why they did not want to know, or if they have had their baby wanted to share how they felt? =)

I knew the gender of Teddy, I was just too excited not to find out.

But if I ever get pregnant again, I think I'll definitely wait to find out the sex. I want it to be a suprize, I'm just not sure if I'll be too impatient to wait!

Btw, you're due when I was due last yr!

Idk where she went, but one girl her s/n was sugar Mommy, she waited. She was due not too long ago and she hasn't been on in a few days so she might have already had the baby. Imma be mad if she didn't let me know she went into labor...anyway but no you're a bigger person than me I knew it was a boy ebfore the tech said so. He was very adamant about letting everyone see his penis lol

Lol! I wanted to know when it was coming up to the scan, but in the end I got in the room and found it in me to say "no" lol. I do not know how, I still sit wondering what it is, but I can wait. I did not think I had this much patients.
Wow! I was told Halloween at first! The on the next scan they told me the 4th, right before bomfire night! Should be fun!

Awww. I would hate it if someone did not tell me the gender of their baby if I knew them and they did not want to know till the day lol. I am going to post it up when the day comes. =]
Lol! I was luck I saw down their on my can, I did see a cute yawn though.

I wanted to know before I got in to the room, but as soon as I got in there... something came over me and I just did not want to know lol. Peoples faces when I got out the room and they were all waiting to know was the funny part! They were expecting me to come out screaming the gender or something, when I said I did not want to know, they just felt silent and my boyfriends mum just said "get back in there and find out!" lol. I have had to buy white things, but it does not bother me too much.

The next time I dont think Im going to find out. What I have thought about is having the tech. write down what it is and put it in an envelope, just to see after the baby is born if the tech. was right.

I'm not too much for suspense....so I found out earlier this week that I'm having a boy! I think it's exciting enough that I don't know what he looks like yet.....now I know he's a "HE!" I can't wait to see what he looks like! Come on baby! Come out and play with me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a feeling it is a little boy, but when I keep dreaming it changes, some nights I will dream of a girl, others a boy. But one dream I gave birth to a big water mellon! Which was weird! lol.

All of my friends, ALL OF THEM (about 5couples I know) waited to find out. They think I am crazy for wanting to know.

But, I also am way more neurotic than they are. I just want everything to be ready when my child gets here.

Wow! I would end up looking in it or something knowing me! That would take more power then just saying no in the scan room and not booking any more! You would be one strong person to do that!

Ummm yea. I open gifts before the dats. I even tell people what I got them for Christmas weeks in advance.

Lol! It is really existing even if you know the gender! I loved seeing the scans... but everytime I just wanted to hold the baby! But I thought it would be more existing for me to not know, I do not even know what came over me in that room when I said no lol.
