Quoting Tara Maureen:“ IDK how common it is but I know I have before b/c I get the pinching feelings as well. Normally out of only one side, but sometimes out of two...”
Quoting egyptiangodss [MAEK]:“ but you can also release two eggs from one ovary... right?”Yes, and I believe this is actually how most fraternal twins come about. Usually when there are twins, it is one ovary releasing two eggs...not each ovary releasing one egg at the same time.
Quoting ~Whitney~:“ How common is this? I mean, I know it's possible due to the fact that there are so many fraternal twins ... [snip!] ... currently cause I have annoying pinching pains on both sides of my lower andomen...uggggh...perhaps this will be my month!”
Quoting Breezaleez:“ well sweetie according to my OBGYN theres no such thing as ovulation pain. so i dont know. i do know however the chances of ovulating from both ovaries at one is 1 in 1,000 ”That's what every doctor I've ever had has told me (about no ovulation pain) and I think they are all full of shit. I know every single time I'm ovulating and from what side because it friggin' hurts...and I have what I think is pretty solid proof. I doubted myself because I was on birth control...and now I have a son, haha! I also had severe pains while ovulating after my miscarriage and went and had an u/s done to see if something was wrong. Nothing wrong, but the u/s tech did mention that I was ovulating on that same side I was having pains.
Quoting ~Whitney~:“ How common is this? I mean, I know it's possible due to the fact that there are so many fraternal twins ... [snip!] ... currently cause I have annoying pinching pains on both sides of my lower andomen...uggggh...perhaps this will be my moII have experienced pains on both sides at one point or another. I have always wondered if it was because I was Oing on both side..I'll never know for sure! I usually have it on just one side when I ovulate. I am pretty sure that indicates ovulation because I have all the CM that comes with it...so I personally have mittelschmertz and I think it is more common as well because of how many woman have it. That is how I knew when to BD when we were TTC and it worked!
Quoting danyle ♥ her bear:“ As often as I hear about women experiencing Mittelschmerz I find it very hard to believe that only 20% of women experience it.”
