Definately tell her now... I got mine SUPER early... The summer between 3rd and 4th grade! You don't want her to think she is dying if she spots her panties... It also wouldn't be a bad idea to drop a maxi pad in her backpack...Just in case.

Quoting Mommy to Twins +3:“ Okay this a personal like family question so I want real help!! Um my daughter is 10 and her friend ... [snip!] ... her first period. She asked me about them. Is she too young to know or should I tell her?? Can you really get them at age 10??”
If shes asking, talk about it. My sis got her period at 9 and the other at 11 so yep.

Yea I remeber. My mom talked to me and I had 2 older sisters!! I want her to be comfortable. I just dont really know how to come about and tell her or what to say!! I probably sound really stupid but I am being honest!

Quoting Beanies Mom {Educated B}:“ i got mine at 9 and a half. so itgs possible. just tell her or she will ask and get wrong info from ... [snip!] ... the truth. ifu dont wanna go into details (like the part about periods being the reason women can get pregnant) then dont....”

I think she should tell her that, she can get pregnant now why wouldnt you to can prevent teen pregnancy, Or at least to get the right information

Yea I would def tell her the responsibilities. I know I am her mom and every mom would probably say this but she seems a lot more mature for her age and I dont think I will have to worry about her getting pregnant!

When my sisters asked about it when they were little, my mom just told them (when seeing a tampon commercial) "those are for mommies". They still make fun of her and they are almost 40.

Nobody ever told me about it when i was younger... and when i did get it i was so freaked out and scared... thought i was bleeding internally and going to die... pretty drastic but seriously was that scared..
I think the sooner you have that talk with her the better it is. And it will be one less serious conversation you have with her
Pfff im not looking forward to that conversation with my little ones. It scares me   my man says "thats all you hun" cause there two girls... but i got a long time till then ... thank god

I was 10, but learned about it a few years before. Tell her, you don't want her to start and not know what's going on.
