Clomid/BD Question

CD 1 July 28
Will take Clomid CD 5 (Aug 1)
Will take last Clomid CD 9 (Aug 5)
U/S Aug 11

Going out of town w/out DH Aug 13-17. Will I miss O? Does clomid help control when O happens? Will Dr. tell me when to BD after us?

You should ovulate 5 - 10 days from the last clomid pill. Which puts you at 10 Aug - 15 Aug.
Now when I took clomid CD5-9 I ovulated exactly 5 days from the last pill. My doc told me to start BD CD 12 -18.
CD 12 for you would be 8 Aug and CD 18 would be 14 Aug.
You need to start BDing before the ultra sound.
Since you have an U/S on the 11th, the doc will see if you have anyeggs developed, you may ovulate before the U/S.
Is there any way you could push your trip back by a day or 2?

I see you start your Clomid today, good luck! You should O between CD 14-20 usually. Sometimes you can O late on Clomid, sometimes early. Just start BDing as soon as your cycle stops, so if you do O after ya'll are away from each other you still have spermies up there to meet the egg. Good luck chica!

Thanks ladies! the info did help! And no I can't postpone trip unfortunately. And it makes me so frustrated. But we'll be sure to BD the day I leave and return.

Okay for me I took my Clomid and then went to see my doctor 10 day after the start of AF. My doctor took a look at my ovaries and measured the 5 (yes) I said 5 Follicles, they were not fully developed and therefore I had to return for another visit two day later. So when I returned she measured again and I had three fully developed follicles and alot more which had not developed. My doctor then gave me an injection to start my ovulation. She told me the eggs would release the next night and that my husband and I should have intercourse Thursday, Friday & Saturday. On Thursday I took a OPK and sure enough I was ovulating. So now we're playing the waiting game.

So maybe your doctor will provide you with an injection to start you ovulating that way you surely won't miss your Ovulation date.
