How long do you bleed?

How long do you bleed after giving birth? i gave birth 2 weeks ago and the bleeding has been weird 1 day its super heavy the next i wont bleed at all just when i think im done it starts back again...Its been 4 yrs since my last baby so i forget.
Also is diareah normal after birth? ive had it for about 3 days now but dont feel sick just need to go!

I think I bled about 3 wks and I was super sick for about a week after, diareah and felling like crap

I bled for 4 weeks. I was taking stool softeners and they gave my diarreha and I cut back to once a day on those and was fine.

I'm 5 weeks, and I just stopped bleeding about two days ago.

As for the diarrhea and whatnot, can't help ya. I feel great.

im almost 2 months pp and im still bleeding.
But It stopped for a week. and I started on my birth control pills,
so I think im having a period?.. I dont know.
So I couldnt tell ya, I think its different for everyone.

It has been just over 6 weeks and I am still bleeding,  . I am having an ultrasound tomorrow to make sure that nothing was left in there....

I bled for 5 weeks, then got my period a week after that. Joy.

i JUST stopped bleeding like a week ago. thats 11 weeks pp!!!

Up to 6 weeks is normal. If its bright bright red after week 1, you should call the doctor. And if you're soaking thru a whole maxi pad in an hour, you should also call the doctor. Other than that, anything is normal.

The diarreah could be a new reaction to things you eat, which often develop after giving birth because of hormonal changes. It may last for the rest of your life, or subside eventually. Try eliminating milk from your diet for a week or so, and see if that helps with the diarreah.

6 weeks...then i got my period like 2 weeks later...

I bleed on and off for six weeks. Somedays it was so light I only noticed it when wiping, somedays it was like a period.

i bled for 5 weeks it stopped for a couple days then i got my period and that lasted another week

I bled for 4 weeks or so. Some days it was light and others it was heavy.

Oh my god, I am praying that doesn't happen to me!

those of you that say you got a period, how did you know it was your period?? I just had my 6 wk internal exam and am now bleeding like a light period (bright red, more blood than spotting) but I have no other symptoms of a period....
