Clomid!

So I just finished Clomid a few days ago. I am still a little lost about when the best day to BD is so we've just been doing it everyday.

I found a clomid calculator. Anyone who is familiar with the whole process know if this looks right?


If you take Clomid for 5 days from 7/24/2008 to 7/28/2008,
you would expect to ovulate between 8/2/2008 and 8/7/2008.
You can start LH testing for ovulation on 7/31/2008.
Optimally you would start making love every 1-2 days starting on 7/31/2008.

I have no experience with this, in fact I am just assuming that Clomid is some kind of med to help conceive. I just wanted to wish you the best of luck TTC.

that all sounds about right! Are you taking OPKs to see when you ovulate? I'm on Clomid 100mg this cycle, and got a positive OPK the last few days and I'm hoping to ovulate tonight or tomorrow, so if you O on time we should be cycle buddies! Good luck!

I haved been taking them but havent got a positive yet. I had a us today and my doctor says it looks great and seems liek the 50mg is working. So I dunno.

Hello Casey,

I finished my round of Clomid and my doctor gave me an injection to start my ovualation. On Thursday I tested to see if I was ovulating and it came back positive. We had fun on Thursday, Friday (2) and Saturday. So now we're playing the waiting the game. Maybe your doctor can provide you with injection to start you ovualating so that you don't have to wait or play the guessing game. Good Luck and keep us posted.

Hiya! I have been MIA myself as of lately, but saw your questions and knew I could offer some ease to your worries. I went through 4 rounds of Clomid (3 @ 50mgs and 1 @ 100mgs) before becoming prego. Each cycle I was monitored via U/S and also was prescribed the injection - but never had to take it. I would start the pill on CD3 and take it for 5 days. On about day 9-11 I would have my U/S and my eggs were always ready, but not ready enough. So I was sent home to perform OPK's until I got a PEAK. However, around day 9 I would def. feel preasure (ovualtion pain) on the side I was going to release - ARE YOU NOTICING ANY PAIN OR PREASURE? If so this may help in knowing when to suspect pending Ovulation. All in all on all 4 of my cycles I O'd on different days each time (Day 17 - 20). However my cycles were MUCH more predictable and shorter which was a TOTAL perk for me. PM me if you have more questions....GOOD LUCK!!!
