switching to baby food..

kylie barely eats all her bottle now..
i'll give her 6 ounces but she'll stop at like 3 ounces and she used to always eat all 6 ounces..
now she just plays with the nipple..
do u think i should switch to the starting baby food or what should i try doing?
she's only 3 1/2 months though.

When my son started doing this I switched to a faster flow nipple. Maybe she is getting tired from working so hard to get the milk??

Have you talked to her pedi about it ? Maybe she's just going through a little something. I wouldn't start baby food just yet , wait til your pedi says too .

maybe wait a little longer b/w feeds instead for now?

I'd talk to her pedi to see if you should start rice cereal or something. Normally they say wait til 4 months, but shes pretty close... but if "we" on BG say "go ahead give her baby food" its just not good enough. You should be going for her 4 mth appointment soon then, no? that is probably when parents talk about changing the diet, or introducing new foods/

nah.. you aren't supposed to start till atleast 4 mths.. and w/ cereal first.
how often is she eating? as long as she's getting atleast 24oz of formula/BM she is fine. but i would def. wait for the baby food. not to mention.. when you do start baby food.. you dont give any less bottles, you give the same about of bottles, b/c that is where all their nutrition comes from.

I agree with the other posts, but also, she might just not be as hungry, maybe not growing as fast right now and just doesn't need quiet as much!

he used to down a 7 oz bottle in no time.
he still does sometimes.. like after his naps.
but sometimes he only eats 4 oz and hes done.
but before i tihnk he was growing at a fast rate.. so he needed more food.
but he like.. platued [sp?] w/ the growth for now.. so he doens't need as much as he was getting while he was going thru his spurts.

also, he is alot more interested in stuff.. so he gets distracted by the tv.. i have to turn it off when i feed him.

she eats every 3 hours and she used to eat all 6 ounces but just a few days ago she's just been playing with the nipples.
some are fast flowing nipples but she just sots and plays with them now.
maybe she's just not hungry as much anymore but i feel like i'm wasting so much formula now.

exactly! I think that could be a lot of what is going on. oh and I can't spell it either!
