do you get offended?

posted 28th Jul
do you get offended wen people call you baby girl a boy or vice versa? Or when they ask you if your baby is a boy or a girl? i feel like saying "its a boy that i dress in pink and ruffles!"

People can be really stupid, like they can't see the dress and the big headband with a pink bow on it lol.

i only got offended when it was obvious, my daughter had earrings and a headband on and she was still called a boy. some ppl just don't pay attention. she had short hair so before she got the earrings no i didn't but i would always try to keep her with a headband on.

right im like take 2 seconds to make some observations before you say something potentially offending.
sometimes i even feel that people do that to get a rise out of you on purpose.

I've only had someone ask me that one time and my son looks NOTHING like a girl. She was foreign though so I didn't let it get to me.

Hell yah I get offended. We pierced Kairie's ears because people asked so much.

I'm actually raising a homosexual boy. We know in the future he'll like pink and hearts, so we started him early.

People always call him him a girl! It gets so annoying after a while. Even after I correct them they still say she! I think it might be all his hair. It's getting pretty long and thick.

I don't really get offended when they call Lincoln a girl. His hair was longer so I could completely understand the mistake. I just say oh thank you I think he's such a cutie too. Or something like that.

Robert has a lot of green stuff and I've been asked maybe 2 or 3 times, and actually for the first time the other day someone called him a girl, but I don't mind. You can't tell that well at this age anyway, and I'm sure the mistaken woman was far more embarassed than I could have been.

I was bald til I was 3, and a man mistook me for a boy when I was wearing a pink dress and headband, lol

People are strange!!!! I was out shopping today with all 4 of my kids (the 3 oldest are boys, my youngest, 16 months is a girl) and she says "Oh, you have ALLL boys???" Meanwhile, my little girl is dressed in pink...and I'm just like "No, this one is a girl!" After a while, you just kinda get used to it, but it did kinda bother me at first. I just learn that people can be quite ignorant and to not let it bother you. What's the point of letting their lack of observation stress you out? I'd just laugh about it later with someone who knows better!
