He doesnt like his breathing tube.

Well Josiah is almost over his pnemonia and is almost stable enough to the point where i can hold him. Well last night he decided that he would pull out his breathing tube for the second time in 5 days. He gets his moments where he tries and moves his head and body and the tube is obviously in place. Other than liking his tubes out he is doing good. his oxygen is always 31% to 47%. the only time it really goes up is during his cares. especially if he has to get blood gas.

Aww...I just read ur story. He is a strong handsome baby. Glad to know he is almost over with his pnemonia. YOu'll soon get to take him home. Best of luck to you all.

Good luck to you and baby. My son would pull out his c-pap and ng tube a lot and I hated when the simple nurses would "try" and get his tube back down his nose and AJ would be srceaming.

He is so beautiful..... Im so happy for you, its just awesome what fight these little ones have in them. I read your story and am glad that the little one is going great. My little was born early too but almost 9 yrs ago when they didn't have the stuff to help all that much. Congrats to you and your beautiful little boy.

Awwww poor baby... yeah they have to put in a new one... last time he pulled it out he wasnt doing good for like 3 days and they couldnt figure out why. They found he had yeast in his trachea. When hes not sedated he likes to try and turn when hes on his tummy and doesnt realize that he pulls away from the tube. or on his back he likes something to hold and its right infront of him. i guess its very common so im sure there will be many more ahead.

thank you so much. I was lucky to make it to 24wks when he is viable. i went in labor when i was 23wks 5days by the time i was 24wks 1day they realized i was in labor. i was in the worst pain for 3days with no contractions registering. when i was in full blown labor they never did register. its kinda scary.

Thank you so much.. im hoping the end of September.... He would have been 35wks the day after my birthday so Im hoping a few days afer he can come home.

Just don't get your hopes up, babies as early as him are usually in at least until their due date. He is doing fabulous though! And he's extremely cute =)

i know... i wont be surprised if its at least a week past... my friend had her son at 25wks and he didnt go home until almost 2wks after his due date.
