BH Contractions

posted 27th Jul
Im almost certain there are several other posts of this same thing but honestly, I'm too damn lazy to look for them.  :

Any-who What is the difference between BH Contractions and real ones.

Im at risk for preterm labor so it is in the back of my head (WHAT IF ITS REALLLLLLLLLLL)

I've never had real contractions or BH Contractions (That i know of) until today. I woke up out of a dead sleep with this HORRID pain in my lower abdomen (Like 100X worse than period cramps  ) that went around into my back and my uterus was rock solid. Then it subsided and came again several times (I dont think Kenslee enjoyed it too much cuz everytime it would stop she'd beat the hell outta me) All this started about 30 minutes ago and is still going in that pattern

Bh contractions will usually stop of you drink something and rest.

BH will be sporadic & vary in the time between them. Real contractions will steadily increase in intensity & get closer together. If you change activities, BH will stop or slack off some, so if you are laying down, try getting up & walking around. They will usually slack off. You could also try timing them. You start timing them at the beginning of a contraction, then stop timing when the next one STARTS. You want to know the time between the beginning of each. You may have times when you have them one after the other, but they aren't actually long enough to be real ones. Usually the baby will kick & squirm afterwards from being squished. BH can be intense sometimes, but they usually aren't a cause for concern. If you can talk during a contraction, it usually isn't real. Doctors usually look for this when you call them, FYI. You won't be able to talk through a real one very well. I am already having them with this baby & I am only 19 wks, but this is my 3rd.
