yea when i found out i was pregnant, my bf said he was all excited too... then we started having NONSTOP, really bad fights for the next 2-3 months STRAIGHT... it was horrible. but we get along perfect now and have been doing great for awhile. i think the reason was just that he was very overwhelmed and thought he would be losing his 'freedom,' etc, and i wasn't really helping because i was all hormonal.

Well, if he thinks that hormones are fake, he's a dumbass. I would just Google "pregnancy hormones" find a couple of facts and have him read them. So he gets the hint that it's NOT fake.

Guys are slow on the uptake. He may be overhwelmed and is relying on male info (Wouldn't guys love it if the hormones WERE fake?) and men are not usually communicative, so he is habing trouble expressing how he feels. Sit down with him and rationally explain how you are feeling and try to get him to open up.
