Health Insurance Issues

So here is the deal I am covered under my mothers insurance until i am 23 yrs old.   I am covered for everything in the hospital. The baby is covered for everything in the hospital too...but once he is out, he is no longer covered. What should i do? My bf and i do not have insurance. and i am confused cuz my friend said i have to have the babies pediatrician come to the hospital...but i dont have insurance so how can i have a pediatrician..? what if u dont have insurance. isnt there help thru the hospital ? 

Apply for medicare for the baby, you can do it.

Why is your mother still carring you?? You should end that and apply for medicaid.

Does your state have a children's health care plan in addition to Medicare? Georgia has Peachcare to cover children in low-income families.

Apply for medicaid ASAP, your covered form the day you apply(as long as your approved) then you need to find a pedi that accepts the medicaid in your area, or else your lookin at some heavy hospital and pedi bills.

Medicaid! Apply for it for your baby   it covered me completely during my pregnancy, labor and delivery. I didn't have to pay a penny. Also, my baby girl Rowan gets her own card next month so she'll be covered too.

Ok so if i apply for medicaid   then would i not be covered under my mom anymore.?  I'm still covered under her till im 23 i have heart doctors and everything i been going to since i was  born i really don;t want to not go to them anymore. ,, is it possible for me to still be covered under my mom n then just get medicaid for my child? im not sure how it all works... 

the baby is covered under my mom  while we are in the hospital its just after  he won't be. 

plus i am reading  up about it online and i don't think i would qualify ... it says that they consider income for everyone living in the household, including parents is considered. My parents make wellll over the mark. so i dunno  ah so confused.

I lived with my parents and i was able to say i support myself i just live there, and they didn't take my parents income in to account. You should still be covered by your moms insurance
