Secret Baby Shower/Secret Mummy's

Jess81, .CharlotteAmber., and lolajessup have been working out some kinks to start a Secret Baby Shower/Secret Mummy's pool. It will be so much fun, and the more participation we have the more fun we will have! We plan to hook people up with secret mommys or mommy-2-be's. You wont know who has you. We will try to match people with their ideal buddy. You can send gifts of any kind, such as home made, store bought, baby items, mommy items, or something that the other mommy might never have a chance to get in her hometown(such as novelty gifts from the area you live). The price limit will be around $20, based on your best instinct, it can vary a little. If your buddy has more than one child you can be creative in what kind of gifts you send, whether it be just mommy gifts, or a gift for each child, etc, however you find fit! We will do this round for 3 months. So, one gift every month, for 3 months. That's 3 gifts total. Then we will start the contest over in November, so you would need to sign back up with updated info about yourself and your family.

So here's the deal...
1. Post your name
2. Post your age
3. Post your due date and gender (if applicable)
4. Post your child(ren)'s age(s) and gender(s) (if applicable)
5. post the color scheme, details, or any pictures you have of your theme/nursery. and/or Post things that interest you. Whatever info you can give that will be helpful to your buddy when they are shopping  
6. Post your Country/State of residence
7. Post if you would like a buddywho sends you giftsout of country, continental, or maybe just out of state. Also, you can choose NP(no preference) meaning you don't care who it is or where, just as long as you can participate
8. Post if you prefer to send gifts to your buddyout of country, continental, or maybe just out of state. Also, you can choose NP(no preference) meaning you don't care who it is or where, just as long as you can participate
9. State the pool you wish to enter(Secret Baby Shower or Secret Mummy's), and PM your address to the representative for the pool you wish to enter.

The sign up is going from the time this is posted until Sunday, August 3rd.
Then, when the sign up is over,when we have finished sorting the entries,your buddy info will be PMed to you, and let the secret gift exchanging begin! We will have a follow up post where we will add pictures of our lovely gifts!!

All addresses and personal info will be kept private, and only given out to your "secret buddy". if you have any concerns about privacy, or anything else,please ask. PM one of us if you feel better doing it that way. Also, if you have any suggestions please add them!

5. I personally am a huge Marilyn Monroe fan. For Emmas room we have done the all girly theme. She loves things that make noise and light up. She is also a fan of stuffed animals. I will update later for the 2nd nursery.

This is such a great idea. I had mentioned and wanted to do something similar with october mommies, but I've had a hard time with stress so I'm not able to do it at the moment.   Thanks for volunteering your time ladies!   My info. has been sent!

Good luck, last time we did one of these a BUNCH of people got jipped.   Mostly from newbies who received a gift, didn't send one to their buddy and then left BG.

ok no lame n00bies allowed haha   make sure you are committing to your buddy. also if anyone has buddy troubles, we will try to work something out for those who got jipped. we will know who all has who, so we will know the jippers, and we can try to match up ladies who get jipped if it happens. but lets hope only good honest people join us this time

i pmed you but i forgot to tell you that i would include pics when ailey is awake because i dont want to wake her by taking the pics

exactly, since it is a 3 mo. term with 3 exchanges, if for some reason you do not recieve your gift the first month around the time you are to have it by, you can match them with another mommy, if there is no mommies left to be matched to, the mommies already participating can be asked if they would like to take on another mommy out of the goodness of their heart for what happened.

Yep. That is why I stopped doing them.
