at what age will you let ....

.......your childdate? (im so embarrassed to say but i couldn't start claiming malcolm as my boyfriend until 12th grade..lol)but my older brother could at 15...i beleive...that's so not fair 
so will it be younger for the boysordamn near in college like me for the girls or will it be mutual for both.....just curious to some responses...oh and what age did you start?

I guess I dont have a say,but I'd like it if my daughter waited until she was around 16 .

I just asked my boyfriend when he will let our daughter date and he said not till she's 30 yrs old lmaoo 

I think we won't let her date until she's about 17...

I went out on dates when i was 13 yrs ( but my parents didn't know about it lol)

i think its fair if you put them both around the same age to be able to date. Because if not they just will start comparing each other saying its not fair well thats what i did.  I was able to have my 1st real boyfriend at the age of 14.

Ahh... I don't want to have to tell my daughter "you can't date until you 18" or whatever, because guess what...my parents told me that...look at me, 15 and pregnant...It just makes them want to do it more, but I'll try and guide her in the right direction of just keeping her mind on school, and sports, and having a social life, so she doesn't end up like me..(not that I regret it, don't take that the wrong way) and will at least wait to have a serious boyfriend until she's around 17-18, and knows what she wants.

Depends. Only group/supervised dates until they are old enough to drive.

thats hard. She won't have our permission to go alone with boys until she is 16. even then we might have a rule about bringing friends on dates until she is 17. She can have boyfriends as long as they meet us and they follow our rules with our daughters! The only problem is with all the rules I'm afraid she is going to rebell and get into "trouble". We'll be talking about sex before they go into junior high...and continue to openly talk about sex while they live under our roof. They will also (I hope they feel like they can come to me!!) come to me to ask for BC whenever they start thinking about sex. whether it's at 14 or 18! I'd rather my 14 year old come to me and take precautions (I'll do my best to talk her out of it) then sneak around and wined up pregnant!

I don't believe in using an age like a line in the sand. It depends on each child and their maturity level. But it will certainly not be based on the child's gender. When the kid is old enough to make good decisions about following the rules, being in on time, safe sex, etc... Then they will be allowed to date.

wow 16!!you all are lucky....let me have asked my mom then..she would have laughed and at 14 VERY HARD
