April Mommies

hey everyone! i didnt see this thread! I was just wondering how everyone was doing and how your babies are!

Aly is doing great! She is actually watching Barney right now and kicking and laughing - it's so cute!! She has already more than doubled her birth weight - YAY!! The only problem we are having is with tummy time - she HATES it! She just burries her head in the floor and cries

Mine hates tummy time, too...it's so sad.  But she's doing great, other than that    SHe's her mommy's snuggly-bear...I love how she's so smiley and talkative.  If only I could understand all the things she's saying...

awww riley does the exact same thing sometimes! but then again..she has her days where she loves it! riley has rolled over ONE time but she hasnt done it since. that was about a week ago! im waiting for her to do it again!

i know! i love when riley coos! how do your babies like to sleep? Riley loves sleeping on her stomach..and it kinda scares me but she loves it!

Tristan is HUGE! lol Seriously, he is wearing 6-9 month clothes, weighs 15 lbs and is getting ready to move to size 3 diapers.   He's a big boy!

Tristan has to have his face covered to sleep. It scares me to death! I give him about 10 min, then I go check on him and move it. He is also talking up a storm. It's so cute to watch him and my oldest because he is so responsive to his brother. In fact, Brant is the only one who can get him to laugh! I'm jealous.   lol

The only way I can get her to sleep on her back is by swaddling her...which I'm gonna have to give up soon, since she's getting so big...

aww! well i let riley lay on her tummy now that she has good control of her head but at first i justheld herbecause i did NOT want her on her tummy!!

yeah! well ive been very blessed with the whole sleeping thing, even though she likes sleeping on her tummy. she has slept through the whole night since she was 4 weeks old!

That makes me feel better--at her 2 month appt she was 24" long and 12# 10 oz.  She's def. gotten even bigger...she's getting too long for the 3-6 mo. clothes and people keep saying how huge she is.  I know she's at the top of her growth carts, but I was starting to think she may be freakishly huge.  Good to know she's not the only big baby out there.

How much and how often does she eat? Tristan is still waking up every 4 hours to eat, and has anywhere between 5-6 ozs each time. I'm considering starting cereal when he hits 4 months (NOT to get him to sleep through the night) because he never seems satisfied. Sometimes he will eat 2 hours after he's finished a 6 oz bottle!

she eats about every 4 hours during the day..and then after her bath i feed her again and i put a TINY bit of cereal in there and then she sleeps from 10-7...wakes up to get another regular bottle and then she sleeps until about 10 or 11.

I swear by the swaddling--since we've been swaddling her, she's slept (usually) through the night.  Most nights Em will got to sleep at 8:30 or 9, and sleep most nights until about 7.  If she dozed off before I could feed her right before bed, she may wake up at about 5 to eat.  I don't know what I'll do when she gets too big to swaddle...

We haven't been able to use swaddlingsince about 1 month. He moves too much!
