Pain 4 months PP?

I am 4 months PP as of yesterday... I am not on BC, nor do I plan to be again (I was on it for 7 years, didn't know what it actually did, and now that I know, I personally can't take it again x_x) I have not yet had sex because of the fear of getting pregnant again too soon, but also for another reason (yeah, I know, my poor husband O_O Normally I can't go a day XD).
It's not everyday, but at least a few times a week, I get this deep stabbing pain in my vagina >_> It hurts like hell, and honestly makes me terrified sex is going to be even worse.
What the hell could be causing the pain, and is it normal???
I had a fourth degree tear, nothing major... But I tend to get paranoid easily, so I have been blowing this off and trying not to worry, figuring it would go away with time. But 4 months is getting a bit ridiculous, no?

This is of no help, sorry, but you didnt know what birth control did???? Im confused as to why you took it then??

All I was told was that it stopped ovulation and would help me with my cramps so I could actually get out of bed. I was 14 years old at the time. Now I know they not only try to stop ovulation, but if you DO ovulate they try to prevent fertilization (which is fine) and failing to do that they help your body reject the pregnancy by not allowing the fertilized egg to stick (to me, that is no different than an abortion/morning after pill, and I don't agree with it.) I sit here and wonder... All the times I should have been pregnant because I was notorious for missing 2 or 3 days in a row... Maybe I was and the pill just didn't let it stick :\ What is done is done, but I am not going to do it again -_- Just doesn't sit well with me.

Yeah, if you don't take your pill right, you can get pregnant. If your missing days at a time you should be on something else anyway. Why were you even taking it if you weren't going to use it correctly?

Because of my cramps o_o I liked not having to be in bed 3 or 4 days straight. I wasn't really using it as birth control in the first place, so I figured it didn't matter if I missed here or there.

Well, I called my midwives since no one here had an answer, and they want me to come in for an exam -_- Fun! So I have to schedule and appointment sometime this week, working around my daughter's 4 month shots (More fun. Not.)

well now that u have a kid maybe you can use marina? i guess one of the ways it works is that it blocks the sperm from even getting to the eggs to gfertilize. but you may want to talk to ur dr.

I am 3 motnhs pp and still have bad vagina pain too, my dr said my uterine muscles wernt strong enough to support my vagina and thats why it huerts to stand for long periods of time ( like 5 min + some times) and i had 30 stiches and some of the scar tissue is funky and sore. my dr said to do like 200 kegal excerises a day and to put this estrogine cream on it. its been a few days and have had no change. im stiull on dissablity tho and my babys 3 months so that the only good part!!

I am not able to use Mirena, as I have a history of ectopic pregnancy... But thanks  
I don't think it is from me tearing... I only got 4 stitches, and they said I really only needed 1 or 2, they put the extra in in case some fell out (which 3 did before I was 2 weeks PP) and the tear was not bad at all, just on the left outside edge, more superficial than anything else... And I don't have to be standing to have the pain, I can be sitting or even laying down. I woke up last night at 4:30 to feed my daughter and didn't even get out of bed and I had it happen :\ But, you never know. Guess I will find out Wednesday :\
