What to eat while pregnant

Ok so my doctor told me to not eat any fried foods or junk food lol the only thing i can even think of being able to eat is grilled chicken lol .
can anyone tell me what else would be good to eat as meals please.

Potato Chips lol that's all i eat besides Burritos and Pickles (my cravings) well that's what i ate with my first and second and they turned out almost perfect.....LMAO

all the meat I eat now, I grill, it cut's out alot of fat and gives it flavor. I made grilled chicken with a cup of steamed brocolli, a cup of sauted zuchini and carrotts and a half cup of rice for din tonight. If you just season it enough (with low sodium seasonings like mrs. dash) it's really good and filling, and ultimately, really good for baby. Ive kinda made a game out of my pregnant eating habbits. I try to figure out all these healthy veggie filled, protein packed meals, that are low in sodium and fat & high in nutrients essential for my growing boy. & it will help keep you slim & gain the proper weight you need, not pack on unnescesary fat. for snacks i really love red grapes and camio apples with peanut butter. good luck.

lol thanx i have been eating chops alot but my sister says there going to make me gain some more pounds then what i need to.
i went to the doctor july 7th and she told me she didnt want me gaining more then 3 pounds intill my next visit and that is july 31st lol so i been trying to eat right and walk alot so hopfully i did good but im still concerned about what i eat because my boyfriend and family alwasy eat out we hardly ever cook at home lol

I read your subject, and all i could think is...that is a mission of a question. LOL.My whole pregnancy, i dont think i ate very well....So i'm not gonna try to answer...I loved steak and Fried Mozzarella sticks! (Now i want NOTHING to do with any fast food or fried stuff)

gosh i wish you cooked at my house lol..i haven hardly had anything healthy besides fruit to eat lol

Man, the moment your doctor is telling you that you can't eat fried food during pregnancy, its time to get a new doctor! I eat EVERYTHING. The way that I look at it, it doesn't matter what you do/where you go, unless you are stuck at home everyday living as a hermit and never going out, there's no WAY you're not putting your baby at risk for something! Think of it this way, even if you go for a ride in the car you're risking a car accident, if your windows are open and its traffic you're exposing yourself to toxic chemicals and even fresh foods have the risk of samonella and pesticide residue! Eat what you want because if you can't when you're pregnant, when is the right time? They say you're not supposed to eat spicy foods but I put hot sauce on everything! They say you should eat pickles but I ate them through the first half of my pregnancy and they said you can't eat sushi but I eat it once a week and my baby is perfectly healthy.

I've been eating a lot of corn on the cob and grilled meat as well- summer is good for that. Loaded baked potatoes are good, lots of noodles (asian-style noodles), soups, stir fries, tons of fresh fruit and nuts, crackers, italian-style food, mexican is good, frozen french fries that you bake (see? not fried!) and top with taco fixings, nachos in general are really good, ruben sandwhiches (corn beef and saurkraut) or other loaded sandwhiches, cooked seafood is fine if you're careful with it - roasted scallops with spinach salad is really tasty. Pizza is good for you, particularly if you go to those specialty pizza places where they're thin crust and very low on the grease factor... There's TONS of options other than Mcdonalds and potato chips.

I don't like most fried food or fast food, and while I do eat chips and stuff I mostly like popcorn best (its good for you!) and I'm addicted to sugar- cookies, candy, etc, so I eat fruit to try to block that craving a bit.

Umm my doc told me the best things to eat while preg is like healthy stuff...such eggs for protein, steak,chicken,u know stuff like that..in the beginning of my preg i craved olives, salads, celery and blue cheese, but u also got to watch out for what makes u sick if it does dont eat it but try to stay away from fast foods my friend gained so much weight bc thats all she ate lol...
