I found out that's what it was called when I was nine weeks along and they told me I'd had an abortion...which I hadn't....my son ended up being fine. But they thought I had.

And I can't imagine how anyone could argue it.

Hmm I knew that, but I have never really thought about it.  Do people take offense to the term "spontaneous abortion?"  Is miscarriage a medical term at all, or just a lay term?

I think a lot of women don't realize that medically that is what a miscarriage is called. Even my MIL to this day thought they aborted her baby, when in fact it was already dead.
