Clomid Experience?

Hi there, I am brand new to Baby Gaga and wanted to ask those of you who used Clomid, how long were you on Clomid before you got pregnant? And how many of you had multiples? My husband and I have been trying for just over 6 months and have had 1 miscarriage. I have quite a strong family history of miscarriages, so my doctor has recommended me starting Clomid on my next cycle. I am hoping for twins, and am getting quite anxious to be pregnant but I am still a little nervous about Clomid. Any personal experiences with Clomid would be great! Thanks in advance!! I didnt take clomid, but I took femara, which is basically the same thing but with (supposedly) a smaller chance of multiples. I was on it for almost a year and had 2 miscarriages during that time. I am now due anytime with twins. Good luck with it!

I'm currently on Clomid trying for my first so sadly I can't be of much help, but I wanted to say I'm sorry for your loss and good luck with the Clomid.

Welcome to BG!!! Well I used Clomid after trying for about a year and I got pregnant my first Clomid cycle with one baby. Hope that helps!

I took clomid.... we tried over a year. We got pregnant the first time after 4 months on clomid(this ended in m/c nothing to do with clomid), we got pregnant with clomid on next cycle. Unfortuantely my daughter was stillborn. The next time we tried 3 cycles, one was cancelled because I had too many follies ready. We got pregnant on the 4th one. All were singletons My daughter is due in October! Good luck to you.

thank you so much ladies!! After my miscarriage I was so devestated, and I get teary every time I get my period. I just really want to have a baby and fell the fullfilment of being a mother. I'm sure everyone on this board can relate. It's so trying some days... My heart goes out to the women who have been ttc for years. Like I said, we've been 7 months now and I'm praying it happens before 1 year. I have decided to start clomid my next cycle and hopefully it will work... All I can do is pray... *Baby dust to all ttc* And some for me...  

I am a twin because of clomid!!   My mom ttc for a few years and then got pregnant I think her 3rd month of clomid. Good luck!

Aww, thank you!! And please do keep me posted!! I'm sure we've all been there, but right now my mind is going CRAZY!!! I have decided I want Clomid, and am thrilled that it was my doc's suggestion... I just am so scared of putting all my hope in it and then still not getting preggo...   I can't even imagine that pain...

it'll happen one way or another! Oh and just so you know I didn't think the Clomid side effects were bad at all! I have had hot flashes and mild cramping and thats it. Although now I am feeling really pregnant? Its confusing becuase I don't know if I am really experiencing pregnancy symptoms or Clomid Side effects. Keep you fingers crossed for me. OH and FYI I parent tanked you ;)

Haha! I parent tanked you as well!! I see we've been trying since about the same time!!   I will cross my fingers for you!! They always say, a mom knows when she's pregnant, so maybe you are!!!   I really have to keep reminding myself that it will happen some day, it's just a matter of time.   **Baby Dusy**

my experience with clomid is it works well. i tried for almost a year to get pregnantwith no drugsand no results. i finally took one round of clomid and wound up carrying twins (i lost one at delivery, not related to clomid). fast forward 2 years later, i tried to get pregnant again, same thing...had to take clomid and on the first bottle i got pregnant again but this time its just one baby. good luck!
