Does FLA Medicaid cover....

Does anyone know if FL medicaid covers circumcisions? I called my social worker but she hasn't gotten back to me....and I wanted to know before I pay the $300 out of pocket....

I am pretty sure medicaid does not cover it

if you get on citruscaid it will. that's the best insurance that it offers.

i'm having the same problem with mine i want to get my little boys peepee cut, but they're saying i need cirtruscaid or else i gotta pay and you gotta get it all pre-paid to work everything out...

medicaid SUCKS.

YES!! They say it doesn't but they do them.. I had my son on FLA Medicaid and didn't have to pay out of pocket for it

ughhh...you think it's too late to try and get on with citrusaid...i've only got 2 weeks left...

they used to but they stopped doing it a few years ago

it didnt for me and the dr said it doesnt i had to pay 300

MA in flordia must be really gay. I live in PA and they pay for it up here. Its not even a big question at all around here. No one says anything that you have to pay or its not covered. They just run it threw and if your insurance would happen not to cover it you geta bill in the mail. I think they probably classify it as a cosmetic surgery in the state of flordia that is why they will not cover it. Although that is pretty stupid.

no they should have sent you paper in the mail about choosing which one you want. if they didnt then call the hotline and tell them bitches you want your baby cut cuz you dont want him to have an elephant ahaha. just explain to them you are trying to get on citriuscaid. they should help you out. but then again, all of them bitches are assholes. but once you get on it you give the paper to your doctor stating your on it, then they give you this paper saying that you have everything verified. at the hospital they'll probably give you a hard time mama, but just stay there and show them the paper untill they do it. =) if you dont it wont get done, then it will be counted as a medical procedure and you'll have to go to a big hospital to have it done.

I tried to reseatch it a little and read that.....that they stopped it in 2003 due to cut backs or somethin..

I'm in Florida, near Pensacola, and I had several friends on Medicaid that had their babies circumcisions covered. You have to call and switch your plan to HealthEase. Just call the medicaid office and you should be able to do it easy. You have to have the babies medicaid switched to that, not yours. I checked into it when I was first pregnant before I knew I was having another girl.

yeah, citriuscaid just came out this year and its like the new best version of that. i'm due the 14 and i either forget to call or never get through. i'm gunna freak when i go into labor and dont have it done
