A bunch of things

posted 23rd Jul
Alright firstly, can any of you ladies who had a Csec and posted your labor stories link me please? I have my 31wks check up Monday, and we're gonna be talking about my labor options and we're fairly certain I'm going to be havinga Csec. It sucks, but I'm over it already. I've been slowly getting used to the idea since 28wks when they told me he was so big. Anyway.
We had a slight scare earlier tonite. I realized I hadn't felt him move hardly any all day so I started to freak but then I remembered what we tell other moms who ask this ? lol. So I went and got some OJ and drank it and layed on my left side, and sure enough it got him going. Thank goodness for Gaga and my preggo brain retaining some info here and there. He's moving like a champ now, I think he was just having a lazy day today.
Maternity underwear has to be the ugliest crap I have ever seen, but its SOOOO comfy. Ladies, if you haven't invested in any yet, do so as soon as you're able!! I pulled the first pair out of the pack, and I swear to god it looked like a big white flag! But it wsa worth it when I put them on lol. Sexy can go to hell right now I'd rather be comfy!
And lastly...this is my latest belly shot taken tonite with my camera phone. Sorry it's not the best quality or anything. I'm 31wks 2days...from what you can see and I know you're not docs BUT...does it look like my belly is lower, as in does it look like he has dropped/is dropping? Keep in mind I'm uber short, only 5'2". And please excuse the crazy hair lol

Why might you be getting a c-sec?

=] You look amazing!
I hope everything goes well for you and your little man! And dropping is one of the last stages of pregnancy. My baby girl didn't drop til last week. Now contractions are starting to pick up a bit and be more intense. Everyone's different though!

B/c he's so big. I'm a "high risk pregnancy" now, and he's also measuring big. My limit for pushing out a baby is 8.5 pounds, b/c of my pelvic bones. He's expected to be more than that easily. I would just rather go ahead and schedule the Csec and be in control with everything than have to have an emergency one. But we're gonna talk it over Monday so we'll see. If he can honestly tell me he thinks I can push this baby out, then I'll try. But if he has any doubts I'll probably just ask him to schedule the Csec. They're already talkin of inducing me earlier than my EDD anyway. >.<!!

Thank you! I figured it was, but I've been having UBER pressure on my pelvic bones and they say bigger babies tend to drop earlier. My doc said some drop as early as 30-32wks. I'm asking him Monday though. Maybe he can feel around and tell me. I'm just looking for an explanation for all this new pressure and pain. I'm also having the more painful BHs, and really bad back spasms alot. Yay for the third trimester!!

Sounds like your little man might come early! I wish my baby girl would hurry up and be here already!! I'm so excited. It's possible he may have dropped too. I know that every movement she makes I can feel the pressure on my cervix and it hurts so bad sometimes. She makes me cry! LOL!! Keep us posted!

Looking good!! I can't really tell if you've dropped or not though, since the belly is kind of shadowed out.

You're handling everything like a trooper.   I'm so proud of you.

Awwww thank you Lillies! I'll feel better Monday though. I am kind of hoping he gives me some hope for a vaginal delivery but if not then I'm still fine. Emergency Csecs are SO stressful, and I'd rather everyone be on top of everything from the get-go. I have better pics on my camera, but I haven't gotten my lazy ass next door to upload them lol. I'm plannin on getting that done tomorrow. Hows my Brenden and wifey doing over there?

We're good.   A little annoyed since I got my GD results. I told you that my number after the sugar drink was 140, right? Well...I decided to cut back on my sugar intake as a precaution. The doctor didn't tell me to, I just wanted to. Actually all he said was.."So you don't have GD, but just to be on the safe side, don't run home and eat like three snicker bars or something." Anyway, since I decided to cut back on the sugar [which consists of only soda, I hardly ever eat anything sweet besides fresh fruit], everyone has been on my ass about it. My brother went through two 2-liters today and when I told him not to run off with the ENTIRE last bottle, he was like.."Oh no, I can do that since you're supposed to be watching your sugar intake." I was like WTF asshole. >=/ No one advised me to cut back. I just decided to. Shit. He's treating it like it's beneficial for him. Douche bag. He took the damn 2 liter anyway... prick. Ugh. I shouldn't care so much, but...maybe I wanted to drink a glass. >=[ And now everyone else is trying to get me to stop drinking soda altogether and cut out anything that is considered unhealthy from my diet. Which, in my family means absolutely 100% organic fruits, vegetables, and meat. No additives. 100% juice with no sugar. Not even so much as a freaking potato chip. BITE ME. No way I'm doing that. lol

LOL sugar isn't the only thing that will affect your blood sugars, so will carbs. Hence my carb counting for my insulin doses. If you wanna still drink soda, switch to diet. It only takes like a few days of drinking to get used to it and it's better! Diet Dr Pepper tastes the exact same as regular, and Coke Zero tastes the sane as coke! And I bet your brother will be less likely to steal a diet soda! That was a very assholish thing to do though. Good idea though cutting back in case. Good thinking. Just tell everyone to take a damn pill! Gah lol. I thought your brother was moving out anyway?

Hmmm...IDK I didn't have a c-section but almost did. I managed to get him out 5 minutes before they had me scheduled for one. I'm not sure if they will schedule a c-section too much before your due date because you have GD and it delays lung maturity, unless you are showing other signs of going into labor early. Good luck!

The guy that was supposed to be his roommate crapped out on him, so he's not moving out YET. [Since I've been pregnant, I have been disgusted with my brother...I don't know why...but everything about him makes me angry. lol So naturally I'm a little disappointed that he's not moving out right now..]

I would drink diet soda, but it's got aspartame [or something] in it, and I'm all paranoid about that for some reason. As long as I've been drinking caffeinated soda on the regular [for years now], as many times as I've quit or gone without it for a few days, I've never had withdrawals...which is weird. Ugh. I dunno. I'm just annoyed. I drink as much water as I do soda, and I'm a VERY healthy eater. I don't know what the hell these people want from me. God. Only 11 more weeks. I can do it. -siiiigh- If people don't stop treating this like it's the end of the world I'm going to go off.

I'm thinking if we schedule one it will be around 37-38wks depending on how big he is. I hope if he does schedule it early b/c of his size he gives me something to help mature his lungs better. I have heard they will do that sometimes when you have to be induced early. I'll have more answers Monday though. I hope he tells me something good for once lol

LMAO imagine having such overconcerned family, and having to take five shots a day. Plus all the other drama lmao. It's quite exhausting. I've finally gotten everyone off my back for the most part though. I bombard them with info and facts until they are just like...what? LOL then they usually don't ask unless they know I've had a doctor's appt that day.

If they have to induce very early they can give steroid shots 24hours apart but I believe they only do that between 26-30 weeks but it is unsuccessful at helping after. They said my son was going to be huge, but he was only 8lbs4oz and was born at 38w2d because I was induced due to preeclampsia. If your doctor is going to suggest a c-section I really would hope he would wait until you were 38-40 weeks, after all size doesn't matter too much with c-section. I couldn't imagine trying to manage GD and being pregnant...props to you!
