4 month olds and food

what all kinds of food is everyone feeding their 4 month old? i just started my girl on single grain rice and i wanted to know how soon b4 i could start adding in a little bit of baby food  

You are suppose to do each thing for at least a week. After the cereal start on veggies then do the fruits.

I usually do the 3 day rule...Give her the cereal for 3 days then you can add baby food. If you add baby food give that food 3 days before trying another one. This way you can tell if she has an allergy to anything.

Bah..I never listened to that veggie before fruit thing. I just kind of mixed them up. Veggie 1 try..then fruit the next. The only veggie out there that my kids won't eat is mustard greens. Figured the new baby will probably follow in their footsteps.

My dr had us wait a month after giving cereal before starting any other foods...we went 4 weeks....she doesn't really like cereal and we're supposed to wait a week before starting a new baby food (I wait 4 or 5 days b.c shes on yellow/orange foods, and I don't want her nose to turn orange) just check with your ped. and they will let you know when to start intorducing new foods!

We've only tried rice cereal so far.  

My son is 6 months and hasn't had anything yet. But I know your supposed to do rice cereal for a while for them to get used to it. Also continue to use it even when they are on fruits and veggies because of the iron. Im going to start with veggies but some people start with fruit...

yeah I was wondering just when to start Aidan on other foods too.. since Friday we've been doing rice cereal at night for dinner and I'm not sure the best way to schedule it next..

My Pedi said to start with yellow or orange veggies (like sweet potatoes, carrots, or squash) becuase the green veggies can make babies gassy.
