What kind of milk is best to drink when you are pregnant?

Does anyone know what kind of milk is best to drink when you are pregnant? 2%? Whole? Skim? Does it make any difference? My doc had me on Skim before I got pregnant to keep my weight down...should I switch back to 2%?

You get plenty of fat from other food sources so it's fine to keep drinking skim unless your doctor tells you otherwise. I have drank 1% all my life including during my pregnancies and I never had any trouble gaining weight.

You'd be drinking it for calcium, not fat content. The lowest percentage you can stand, the better. Whole milk is super high in fat and if you pack it away, you'll pack away a ton of fat with it, too.
