Are there any Kansas moms?

I wasn't sure where to post this topic, but I was wandering if there are any moms that live in Kansas. I currently live in Oklahoma but my husband just found out yesterday that he got a teaching position in Kansas and he has to report to work on August 4th. This leaves us less than two weeks to find a place and get there. All of my family and most of my husbands family lives in Oklahoma so we will not know anyone. So I was just seeing if there were any moms on here that live in Kansas.

Where are you moving in KS? I obviously live in NE but we're neighbors

What part of Kansas are you moving to? I lived in Kansas and moved to Oklahoma a couple of years ago. I live in the KC area.

i live in derby, ks. very nice suburb of wichita.

welcome! not too shabby a place. ok, ks and ne aren't that different from each other. not really anyway. i actually have grown to like it here.   hope you do too. it takes some time, in my experience, but it gets better. lol.

I'm in Olathe, KS, but I'm not a mommy yet. I met one of the coolest women in the world on this site and she lives in Olathe too  

Where are you moving to? We're just outside Kansas City (in Johnson County) and it's a beautiful place to live.

We will be moving to Liberal, KS. My husband has been there a couple times to interview and everything but I haven't even been there or seen the town or anything. I guess we do know one person there. One of my husband's friends also teaches at the community college that my husband will be teaching for, but he is not married or dating anyone. They tend to get together and talk about and work on their hot rods so that really isn't very exciting for me. I will be transfering to the college so I am sure I will meet people in class but it is always nice to have friends that also moms or are moms to be.
