Quoting PillowPants LipstickMafia:“ how old is she? Georgia was only 5 weeks early but we didn't really take her out in public unless it was to the dr office until she was a month old.”She is 9 weeks old. She came out of the NICU on July 2.
Quoting ~*~Tasia~*~:“ She is 9 weeks old. She came out of the NICU on July 2.”it might be good to wait a little longer. IDK. We waited because Georgia ended up getting a staph infection at birth so we didn't want to her to come in contact with anything else her weak immune system couldn't take. Good Luck!

[snip!] ... at birth so we didn't want to her to come in contact with anything else her weak immune system couldn't take. Good Luck! ”Oh, that sucks, Im sorry she had to go through that. Yeah, I was just wondering. I mean, Im not in any rush or anything, just wondering what would be a good time to start. I have a 3 year old too and I just feel bad for him sometimes that he has to be in the house all day. Thats why we started to go for little walks for some fresh air. She is either in the sling or covered on the stroller so nobody can look at her.

She is either in the sling or covered on the stroller so nobody can look at her.”Honestly I don't think its going to hurt her. Just make sure that people wash their hands and aren't touching her face and stuff like that. The hospital was probably more of a risk than her going to the park or something like that.
Quoting ~*~Tasia~*~:“ I have an appointment on Thursday with the kids ped and I will also ask him, but I just wanted to know ... [snip!] ... going to the park if I have her in the sling? What were your experiences? When is an ok time to start exposing them slowly?”
Quoting Jessica #98872364:“ Once my kids hit their due dates, I didn't go out of my way to protect them from anything.”Ok, well she hits her due date tomorrow! I guess I will just still take it easy, but Ive been so paranoid about not taking her anywhere or letting anyone near her. You should have seen us at WIC, I didnt even want anyone looking at her, lol.

Quoting Jessica #98872364:“ Yeah, wic would be scary. I probably shouldn't say this, since I don't want to hear anyone's crap, but ... [snip!] ... really gets people interested. It's like the one baby everyone needs to leave along is the one baby that everyone is drawn to!”I wont judge you for that, I probably would have done the same thing, lol. I am so scared to leave her with anyone too. I left her with my mom for 20 minutes just to go get some veggies at the store and I was nervous. My mom was even more nervous though cause she had never dealt with a preemie. Even my twin cousins were big at birth compared to her (5.13 & 6.2). I had to go to Babies R Us to get diapers and I tried to cover her as much as possible and people who got tiny glimpses kept wanting to see her. You're right, the smaller the baby, the more attention they get cause everyone thinks they are so cute. I was so freaked after that I told my husband I odnt want to take her out anymore. You guys kinda calmed me down about it though. If I do take her out, I will just keep her in my sling so nobody wants to get that close to her.
Quoting ~*~Tasia~*~:“ I honestly think I am more nervous about my husbands family seeing her than taking her out to the mall ... [snip!] ... only 26 weeks but my MIL "is sure" the baby is coming early ) and they wanted to know if we were going. I said hell no.”
Quoting Jessica #98872364:“ That's how I am with my in laws too....they are dirty and they smoke CONSTANTLY. Totally grosses me out.”You know what's funny, my mom actually stopped smoking because of Angelina. I told her the only way she could come stay at my house and see her is if she didnt smoke during that period of time, and guess what, SHE QUIT! I am so proud of her. My In laws are just horrid, well most of them. My MIL has a dirty, bratty, nasty little 8 year old demon boy and she lets hime get away with murder. My SIL, the one that wanted her twins out early, totally disrespects anything you say and will force her 2 year olds to hold babies. I think I am going to have to take a Xanax before they come over or I will lose it. My other SIL, Evert's brother's wife who Im cool with, said to just take the baby to my room and just breastfeed her the whole time they are here. I think I will try it.
