birth story (long sorry)

So ive been meaning to do this even though its been a little while since i had my baby. but here it goes.

July 2, 2008 my dr. had me go into the hospital at 7 that morning to get a dose of demerol put on my cervix (the gel stuff). I was 39 weeks and 2 days. They were inducing me because my baby wasnt growing all that much anymore. So he told me to keep coming in every morning at that time to add more and eventually we hoped something would happen. I stayed there a little longer than the normal two hours cuz her heartbeat slowed down a little so they watched her. It went back to normal and i left at 11:30.
Though i should have told them i was having lots of cramping and a searing pain in my lower back, but i didnt.
Went to my boyfriends grandmothers to have breakfast and could barely eat cuz i was having such bad contractions n lower back pain. So i layed down for an hour and they got worse. I was timing them and they were 5-3 mins apart and about a min long. So i called the hospital and they told me to come in.
I got to the hospital at 2:30 and my contractions were 3 mins apart and hurtttt really bad. So they checked me and I was 3 cm dialated and 70% effaced. So they admitted me.
An hour later they checked me again and I was 5cm 100% effaced. They asked if I wanted any medicine and even though my whole pregnancy i wanted to do it drug free i was in so much pain i changed my mind and said yes. so they went to get the anesthesiologist. until then they gave me stadol. all that did was make me fall asleep between contractions but did NOTHING for the pain  . So finally about 40 mins later the damn anesthesiologist came and they checked me one more time and i was 10cm dialated and ready to push. Soooo no epidural for me. After pushing for about 5 minsCaydence was out at 4:47 pm on July 2nd, 2008  She weighed 6lbs 4oz and was 19 inches long. So even though i wanted the medicine im glad i didnt get it. The contractions were the worst part, pushing and having her wasnt even that bad to be honest. It was all worth it
