Whats it been like for you??
Do you wish you would/could of gone to an outside hospital??
Have you seen a doctor or nurse practitioners??
And has it been the same one every visit??
How many ultrasounds have you had??
Are you happy with it??
And feel like they are doing a good job wit your pregnancy??
And for those mommies who have already had their babies at a military hospital..were you happy wit the labor and that after??
Just curious as to how all of you ladies are feelin about it all.......

I was completely happy with going to the Naval Hospital here. All the way through my pregnancy, labor and delivery, I loved who took care of me was satisfied with my care. I am also happy with the pediatricians my daughter has seen so far. No problems for me!

I had 3 OB's but they arranged my appointments so when I went into labor I'd know all of them.
They were great!
I had about 5 ultrasounds all together
They did an amazing job keeping on top of my pregnancy.
I saw the nurse who would do my stats and then the doctor would come in an evaluate me, ask questions, let me ask questions
Plus my hospital bill all together for labor, delivery, epidural and food was $35.00 (I only had to pay for food )
Pays to be military ha ha

I go to a Naval Hospital.
So far it has been perfectly fine, no complaints.
It doesn't bother me to go there, so I don't really care about seeing an outside doctor.
I have seen both doctors and nurse practitioners.
For the most part it has been the same person, because I requested that it be the same person everytime.
I have had about 5 ultrasounds, mainly because in the beginning I was having problems. I have been told that they usually only do 2. One to find out how far along you are, and then the other around 20 weeks to do the anatomy scan.
Any other questions, let me know.

I had my son at a military hospital and the entire pregnancy AND delivery was HORRIBLE! After care was amazing because of the nurse I had. Never saw a dr. the entire time I was preggo until my very last visit. I had my son 3 days later. I was in labor for 27 hours. Had an allergic reaction to some meds.. They didnt want to do anything about it..My friend cursed the nurse out until they gave me benadryl and wet wash clothes, They kept turning the pitocin on and off. I had heart trouble and they just made me lay there. They ended up having to use forceps to get my son out.. Then The entire time the woman was sewing me up from my episiotomy from h*ll I could feel everything and kept telling them that. They acted like I was being a b**ch for saying so.. I think it is just NavalMedical CenterPortsmouth though because I haven't heard anyone come out of there with a good experience.. Just depends on the military hospital you go to. My sister is AF and had her first son in a military hospital and had a awesome experience.

I went to a military doctors clinic who failed to diagnose me with pre-eclampsia with my frist baby, which sent me to the military hospital bleeding to death and my daughter had already died at 35 weeks....the military hospital saved my life.
I got pregnant again and was considered high risk so I had numerous different doctors, but was going to the military hospital instead of the clinic. They watched me closely and sent me to l&d for everything and I got hundreds of ultrasoundsconsidering I had to have them weekly at least since I was high risk. I was induced and everything went great, the doctors were great! I just had a problem with one of the nurses bc she felt I was ready to push when I wasnt and got upset with me. After care was ok...nothing great but nothing worth me complaining about.
Got pregnant again and went to the same military hospital....they got me in right away bc of my past and were really great. This time I even got to see the same team of doctors which were 2 different ones. I have had a few ultrasounds, but thats bc I miscarried. But I also ended up bleeding a whole bunch and they saved my life again, so they must be doing something right lol. After care for my d&c isnt going too well though but I am hoping to change that tomorrow.

No complaints here... my doctor (same one every time) takes all the precautions. I've only had 2 u/s, first one to determine EDD and the second to find out the gender... I might have another at 36 weeks to see if my son is positioned right, if he can't do it by "feel"... He'll probably do a u/s though because I keep asking him every month to do a u/s. I actually really like my doctor, he's cool. And I swear every visit, Maryland sends me a "how was your visit" survey to ensure good customer service...
