Gender selection vs nature.

posted 21st Jul
I want to know what everyone thinks on gender selection. I watched a show where the couple had 3 boys and wanted a girl so they did gender selection and had a girl.
Now I never relly thought about this until I had 4 girls. I think if I ever decided that I wanted another kid(and if I got really rich)I would have to consider this .Because I always wanted a little boy.
So do you all think it is right to do gender selection or do you think that you should let nature take it's course? I want opinions on this .No sugar coating be honest.

I'd do it if I could afford it and only had all girls, or all boys.

Agreed. If we start messing with gender odds, the world is gonna go completely out of balance during the next generation...

Nature all the way. And I have a genetic disease in my family that can be slightly prevented if I only have girls.

Ditto. I'd always wonder what I would have had on my own.

I would go with nature, until I had 4 kids that where all girls.

Then I would question nature and just go with the lab.

I've heard of people doing this along with choosing the child's hair and eye color. To be honest when having kids turns into selecting things like gender, hair color and so on it sound like your ordering a car. I think it's a little over board. I say natural. Sides if I only get boys which may very well be I'll adopt a little girl that needs a home.

Def nature. Thats the fun of it. You get to see what you guys created together not what you agreed to have. Damn doctors are taking the fun out of all of it

being pregnant is a thing of nature. even though i understand where you're coming from, i think you should go with the natural way

My brother and his gf have 4 girls, and they want a little boy so bad they're gonna keep trying until they get one. They said they will not stop having kids until they get a boy or can't get pregnant any more. I think it would be fine in that case, but someone who has no kids or even 1 or 2, I think let nature take its course.

i think nature, simply because it's fun and it seems safer that way. if you start messing with that, i don't think it would be smart. who knows the consequences.

but my own selfish situation, my family is full of boys. whenever i do happen to get pregnant it makes me selfishly positive that i might be able to actually have a girl in my family of boys!

but isn't it the fun of pregnancy, to guess and hope and wait and be surprised at that ultrasound when you see your babies gender? seems like it would be no fun to take that away from pregnancy.

p.s. my shift key is broken so i have to go back and put the question marks and stuff in after i type. lol.
