finally- 17 wks =]

Super excited =]
today i'm finally 17 weeks, it doesn't feel like it's been that long. = /
i'm almost halfway there!
anyone 17 weeks today?
I don't know if I should start buying stuff for the baby just yet, I kinda feel like I should wait until I know the gender, but I see alot of people already getting things for their baby's... = /

I'm 17 weeks and 1 day! Congratulations to us! Is your belly growing big or is it still pretty small?

I also want to start collecting lots of baby items. I bought a carseat, snap-in stroller and a pack n play, and that's ALL I'm going to buy until my baby shower. I don't have enough money to buy everything myself so I've got to wait and see what people are going to give me. But I go to baby website all the time just lusting after all the cute clothes and equipment!

ya, i've gotta start getting some stuff. i have a crib and some baby furniture now... i'm gonna start shopping around for the cloth diapers and stuff like that. any recommendations for bottles?

I live here unfortunately. I have never had medicaid, but I have known some people who have. Since you are young, it shouldn't be difficult for you to get it. Have you had prenatal care?

well not in reno, i've had it in missouri though, which is where i'm at right now, i get home tomorrow. but i have a primary insurance, they cover 90% but i'm worried i won't be able to pay the remaining 10% so i think i'm gonna try for medicaid as my secondary... i just hope i qualify. do you know if they had any difficulty getting on approved?

No, but they had no job, and no other insurance. (it was my husband's cousin, and I don't think very highly of them, but that is another story.). 10% won't be bad if you have a normal delivery, but you can always try. I do think it takes some time to get approved though, which I am pretty sure that you will.

ya i have no job either... don't really have a permanent home yet either lol
but the 10% would be somewhere around $400 which is fine but again, i don't have a job = / i've been looking but it's really hard to find jobs right now, especially when you're pregnant. =[

I know! You could always babysit, or get a job with day care. Who do you have insurance through then? Who is your doc BTW. I know some docs will let you start paying on the bill now, that way you won't have to worry about it afterwards.

my doc's name is Dr. Thompson... she's in reno across from St. Mary's. I go through blue cross, blue shield and prefered care blue lol, not sure exactly which one it is exactly = / ya i would babysit, do daycare, not really picky, i just need some sort of income so i can start getting some baby things. my aunt is giving me her old baby furniture, but that's all she really has.
