c-section helpp! kinda long n confusing. sorry

posted 21st Jul
ok there is a couple of thingss. i had my son on may 16,2008.
im 2months 5day pp and it still looks like im preggo!
i had a c-section with him cause they said he was going to be about 10lbs 5oz. he ended up being 9lbs 10oz. but anyways before i got preggo i weight 145 then at my last dr. appointment i was 205. when i went to my 6 week p.p check up thing i weight 177. but it seems like nothing will get my weight to go away! i hate it! okk so here are my questions:
1.my belly where my scare is, is still kinda numb in some spots n up by my ribs but in my belly it hurts, not all the time but a majority of the time. n if i have my head down like kneeling down then get up to fast or w.e i get light headed n i have to shut my eyes sometimes. n sometimes i;ll just get light headed. do you think that could have a part in why im not really looseing anything?

2. okk so my stomach looks gross and its hangy in stuff, does anyone no anyway thats quiick to get it to go away? cause between workk the baby n trying to see the hubby and sometimes friends n get enough sleep its hardd. =[

It took me forever to lose any noticable amount of weight with my first pregnancy and I was the same weight as you. My belly looked gross but yours looks a little swolen. The numbness from the c section is normal but maybe not the pain. Have you spoken to your doctor? Once you're feeling better, I have tons of little weight loss techniques!

Remember that when you have a section, they cut through your abdominal muscles, and it takes a lot of time for them to heal and start to pull together again. Because of the stretched skin, it won't ever go back to being flat, but after losing some weight, it will start to decrease. Give yourself some time

The best trick being getting the appitite down. Fasting helps shrink the stomach, which makes you feel far less hungry. Just be sure to drink plenty of water and take a multi vitamin. After fasting for a few days and cutting your meals in half or more, you should notice that you aren't able to eat as much in one sitting. (It can take a few weeks to get your tummy used to it) At that point you can take advantage of it and eat much less. Again, multi vitamins and water are a must! (Doctors can also prescribe medications to initiate hunger control which will shrink the stomach, but NEVER take them for more than a few months!)

Running did wonders for me but it killed my knees. So maybe other enjoyable excersizes with lower impact would work well for you.

Like someone else had mentioned, your tummy will never be flat and young looking again. Thing is, after my first pregnancy I lost enough weight where I looked thin and curvey. I even felt comfortable in a bikini.

Don't get yourself down about it. It will take time.

I'm still pregnant and I will have another c-section on Oct 6th, 2008.
I had a c-section in 2003 and my stomach is still numb from that you will never get that feeling back because they cut the muscles and my tummy hangs too...it's gross.
After I had my c-section in 2003, I had a lot of pain to a year after. I kept feeling something poking me in the stomach when I bent over or got up real fast. I was vicodin for over 1 year.
I've talked to a lot of women about this who had c-sections and some women bounce back and some don't and I didn't.
I gained over 100 lbs with my last son and I didn't loose all the weight...I think I lost about 30 lbs of it that's it.
So I'm big and fat and hating it because I've never been this fat before.
This time being pregnant I only gained 20lbs and I'm almost due, so I'm hoping that I can get back into shape and get rid of my hangy tummy.
I'm not looking forwards to another c-section but hopefully the Dr will cut off some of my hangy tummy so that will help me out with getting back in shape.
