I think everyone got her point, they were only trying to state that statistics are statistics. I do not think that they every said that 100% of girls raised in fatherless homes will become pregant high school drop outs with five potential fathers.

Although you always have to question exactly what is being surveyed. Statistics dont lie, but they CAN be misleading.

Statistics are bullshit. I dont believe that girls who come from single parent homes where moms are their primary care givers that they are more likely to be promiscuous or teen moms or whatever.

i have a friend at spellman whos dad was a drug dealer and died when she was too young to even remember him. and a plethora of other females. that statistic isnt always true. blah..i just dont believe it and i was born in one of the worst neighborhoods in the islands so, i dont know.

The statistics never said that things were 100% or that if you were from a fatherless home you would for sure end up that those included in the statistic. It only means that you are more likely to.

Ex: I am overweight. This means that my child/ren are more likely to be overweight. Does it mean that they will be? No, only that they are more likely to be.

i underdstand that..but i think the percentage is far less than the side the statistic favors..i dont knwo if you understand what im saying.

i think its only when they hear it..they feed into it. like you come froma broken home..your life is fucked. I just think, girls become what and who they are from other experiences.

I understand what you are saying completely. But the statistics for what she is talking about are not looking at any other factors that may have contributed to how these kids from fatherless homes turned out, only at the fact that they lived in a fatherless home. You cannot fight this it just is.
