I agree with what you're saying.....you are automatically being categorized and it isn't fair because that is not how you will raise your children. I see how that would be frustrating. However, we're just saying that you can't argue with those stats. They are what they are.....so continue to do good work mama and raise those little babies the best way you can. I'm sure they will turn out wonderful. You are right....it is more important HOW a child is parented. Don't let one little stat get to you.

It was true for me   I was raised by my mom and her girlfriend and had a crazy childhood. I was promiscuos, dropped out of highschool, was always in trouble, doing drugs, got pregnant at 18, etc. But I have changed my life around. I know it's true for many other people as well. Why are you so upset about a statistic anyways?

lol - if you dont want to hear other people's opinions then dont post in D&D

And you should look up the definition of ignorant.

If you just wanted to rant, you should have done it in K&S. This is D&D where people *gasp* debate the issues people post about. If you did not want to hear from people with differing opinions, you should not have posted in D&D.

so what if there was a statistic saying (and there probably is) that your kid's gonna turn out just like you cause you did all those things? ugh! i'm just saying don't fucking advertise the shit...it's insulting to single mothers. there are thousands of stats that could be advertised but this is the only one i majorly see. please don't anyone else ask me why i'm upset. i believe i stated why when i posted the damn forum!!!!!! this was my last response SERIOUSLY

Thats the thing though, no one is saying "if you are a single mom your child WILL BE..." they are saying that the statistics show that children raised without a father are MORE LIKELY TO BE...

There is a difference there, it may not seem significant, but it is. They are 2 totally different statements. These statistics are NOTHING to be pissed at. They are revealing the way things ARE for many people.

(to OP) Why would you be mad that there are people giving you information on the risks your child may face? Rather than getting mad, get even by educating yourself and doing everything possible to keep your child from becoming another statistic.

Again, blame all of the women who FUCKED UP and not the people who write the stats down. Are you ashamed that so many women are fucking up their lives and you want everyone to just ignore it?

Get mad at these women, not at the people who collect the stats. They wouldn't exist if these women didn't fuck up.

There, did I use the phrase fuck up enough for you?

I think I have seen TV commercials that are directed at guys to take responsibility for their actions because if they dont their children can suffer. I dont know if thats what OP is refering to...

As far as girls without fathers being more promiscuous, I think that has more to do with the attempt to find a man to love them, as opposed to a mother not instilling moral values... And statitistics are what you make of them. You can either become one, or put in the effort to be different.
