well then def go to welfare and get on assistance and apply for public housing...Now if you paying for your moms smoking thats fucked up...tell her get her own money to buy weed you need yours for yuor baby...just be good with ya rent til ya can get out...

yeah serioulsly you need to get away from all that - i have heard about babies being taken away by CPS and other programs because the mother was knowingly in a situation that could possibly cause harm to the child. so if you know your mom is smoking pot and your baby is arround it that is something you could get your baby taken away for if it gets reported. so please please try to get away from your parents. get govt help whether you want to do it or not. suck it up and do it for your child!!!

It sounds like your boyfriend is working, and if you're paying 100+ a week to live with your mom, you can usualyl find an apartment or even get section 8 housing [talk to some of the girls on BG about it, they'll know where to go, I've seen a couple topics about it.]

I don't know why you're afraid to go to the state for help... They really can be a HUGE aid. You can get on WIC for diapers and baby food, and food for you. You can get into Section 8 housing, and that will be very very inexpensive. You can get on TANF which will help you for up to six months. You can get on food stamps which will help you pay for food. My boyfriend and I qualify for $350 in food stamps each month.

You and your boy will be a lot more stable if it's just you and him and baby, it sounds like.

Your 16,your man is working, you're in a bad financial situation, and your mom smokes trees. Girly, you really need to consider asking your state for help. Don't feel bad about asking for it, it's there for you because sometimes "shit happens" and you have no control over you mother. You can say no to giving her money. Since you are not "legally" an adult your mother is responsible for providing for you. Just as you are responsible for providing for your baby. If you are unable to work because you are pregnant and your BD is not making enough to support you. The least you can do for your family(ie. yourself, Baby, and you BD) Is apply for state assistance. It's not going to hurt. That's what it's there for little momma. So don't be scared to apply for it. You NEED IT!

and i didnt know my baby could get taken away... that scares me so much a lot more then getting state aid... you ladies have made me feel so much better tomorrow im going to call DHHS and talk to them about getting state assistance thank you ladies so much you really dont know how good it feels to know im not over re-acting and this really is a dysfunctional place.

You really need to find another situation- not just for you but for your baby. That is a very unhealthy situation to bring her into and- yes- you do risk losing custody and parental rights if it is discovered what kind of environment she is living in- even if you and her father aren't doing any drugs or anything. Wish I could help hun but I would suggest you contact your local department of social services. You can apply for WIC, TANF, and so forth. Good luck!

call her bluff..because..she cant kick you out..if your on the lease..you have to go to court..she just cant kick you out and make you sleep on the streets..especially with baby on the way..

Heres what I suggest you do... first off get your butt over to WIC (if you have that in your state) and to the food stamp office. Its easier to get approved for these programs while your still pregnant. I get wic and foodstamps and its the best... Wic provides us with 6 gallons of milk a month (milk is up to $6.00 a gallon here), 2 boxes of cereal, cheese, eggs, 6 48 oz bottles of juicy juice and peanut butter. Plus they have a nutritionist on staff that will go over your diet with you and address any concerns or questions you may have. For just my husband and I we were getting $298.00 a month for foodstamps. Now that the baby is here they have bumped it up to $415.00 a month. As far as your living arrangement check into rent assistance or section 8 in your area. It you think things are hard now they are only gunna get harder once the baby gets here. You need to sort out your situation and fast. As well I hope your mother isn't smoking weed around you... and definitely not around the baby. As for her putting you out on the streets check out what the law is here as I'm sure it is there. If someone lives somewhere and you wanna put them out... you can't just put their shit out. You have to get an eviction. The way things sound with your mom I doubt she can afford an eviction. If the laws are there like they are here and she puts even one thing of yours out... you call the cops. They will come and set her straight.. not only that but your underage so I'm sure things are even more serious for that. You have to think for your child now... and basically to hell with other people. Whatevers best for your child... and if that means not giving your mom a cent so that it can go for something for your child... then so be it. As for the animals call animal control. Its not fair to them to be in an unhabitable situation. PM me if you wanna talk and again GO APPLY FOR THE STATE HELP. I did and trust me theres nothing to be scared of... thats what their there for. As well there may be other programs in your state (I'm sure there are) that your eligible for that they can give you info about.

I don't even think she has to be on the lease... At least here you don't. The law here is that if you've had your belongings at someones house for more then 3 days you technically live there. And with that they cannot put you out no matter what unless they have gone through the court and have an eviction.
