Receiving Blankets

posted 20th Jul
Where can I get receiving blankets that are 40" x 40"? Maybe even bigger.
The 30" x 30" ones are too small, even the 30" x 40" ones aren't big enough.

They must also be 100% cotton.

I would like to know the answer to that question too. It's super hard to swaddle Jalene still. What are you needing them for?

If you're crafty I'd say go toa fabric store and buy some fabric and just hem the edges.

You can have any size! =]

That sucks! The towel is a good idea, but I'm due in 12 days and it will be too hot for towels ;)

aden + anais makes really nice big ones (47"x47" I think) out of muslin in great colors-- 100% cotton.

Yeah my mom did that with my first baby and I also used them with my second, but then I let someone borrow them and I haven't seen them, or the person, since
I think I just might have to go fabric shopping.

i swaddle my son in a swaddle. its much easier. and we use the receiving blankets just to cover up. the largest ones that we have, and use daily, are the baby george brand from wal mart. not sure of the actual measurements though.

for outside swaddling, def. But swaddling indoors in the a/c? Nah.

and the towels can be used as burp rags, swaddling towels, blankets, cover for play mats/swings/etc.

Thats what my good friends mom did for us! She hemmed and put pretty lace around the edges! We did use the swaddler blankets at frist but we use the recieving blankets all the time now!
