This morning, I woke to my five month old crying because he was hungry. I automatically got up and used the bathroom first. I felt nauseated and week. All of my limbs felt as they weighed a ton. I went to go pick up my son and had to put him down because I was afraid I was going to pass out and drop him. Finally, I felt stable enough to hold him, so I fed him. We went down stairs, put him in his swing, and we both fell back to sleep.

He woke me up again, hungry. So, I get up and my stomach does a soumersalt. I rush to get him in the high chair because, again, I feel like I'm going to pass out. I started sweating and feeling as though I was burning up(not the feverish kind of way).I had to sit down a couple of time before I steadied myself. I fed him his cereal and cooked myself and my oldest breakfast. After I ate breakfast, I began to get chills.

Anywho, now I'm feeling about 50% better. My stomach still feels a bit weird, and I still feel a bit weak. I was wondering if anyone experienced this due to being on the South Beach diet, or maybe it's a little bug that I caught. I haven't been depriving myself at all. I practically eat six times a day (three full meals, two snacks, and a dessert). I've been drinking pleanty of water, so I doubt I'm dehydrated either. Thanks in advance.

I've never done the south beach diet or anything, but it sounds like what happens to me when my blood sugar gets way too low.. I have even fainted quite a few times from it..

Hmm....I'm thinking I should make a doctor's appointment then. With the South Beach diet, the first two weeks you cut out carbs from your diet. Is a sugar subsitute the same as sugar when it comes to upping your sugar levels?

No.. I don't think it's at all the same on blood sugar (I could be wrong, but I don't think it effects them at all).. Your body does need carbs, good carbs that is like fruits and veggies..

It would be wise to ask your dr about it!
