Ashlynn is here!!! Labor story!!

Well i was suppose to be induced today but instead we just got home from the hospital!!!!!! I started feeling really bad wensday and then i started having contractions around 2:00 a.m thursday morning they were coming every 6-7 minutes i got up and sat threw them and about 3 they started coming every 5 minutes. I went to the bathroom around 6 and had my bloody show, at 7:30 i called l&d and they said to head on down. When i arrived at the hospital i was finally dialated a 1 and a half and 80 percent effaced YAY!! ( I was still completly closed when i seen the doc on monday and i was already 7 days overdue then) and the contractions were coming every 4 minutes! Between 8 and about3 i would get up and walk the halls and then be monitored and checked . By 3 or 4 i was 4 cm dialated and got the epi!! ( HEAVEN) as soon as i got the epi the doc came in and broke my water and started me on the pitocin drip, They kept upping the drip every so often and by midnight i was at a 9 and completly effaced, they said in about an hour id be ready!!! I started pushing at 1:02 a.mand 9 pushes later at 1:26 a.m Ashlynn Brooke was here at 8lbs 1.3 ounces and 19 inches long and a spitting image of her daddy!!! I didnt tear but he did have to cut me alittle bit! She had pooped while inside me and swallowed quite abit of it, so i only got to see her for a minute and they took her off to the nursery! Where she had so much of that stuff in her lungs she was having a little trouble breathing on her own and had to have oxygen untill 5:00 p.m Friday afternoon. She finally coughed all of it up and started breathing just fine!! So i finally got to have her in the roon with us 15 hoursafter having her!! We just got home and we both are doing perfect!!! She is such a good baby and ivetruly been blessed!!Ill post picslater im gonna catch up on some much needed rest! Thanks to everyone who had been there threw this with me!!

oh im glad shes okay and that you didnt have to be induced...

that is one of my big worries though! is that there will be meconium in my water and my baby will swallow it and get some kind of breathing problem. i really dont want him to poo in the water! i hope he comes earlier as opposed to later so this doesnt happen. im glad yours is okay now though.

yay!! Congratulations!! I figured you were off having your baby.   I knew you had to be in labor when you were posting the other day. I'm so happy for you! Glad you're both home and doing well. I can't wait to see pics!

Im glad shes okay. 


Yeah thats been my biggest worry cause when my babys father was born he did tha same thing & he was so bad that they had to put tubs in him so he could breath properly, & then also his side of tha family himand all this cousins have A.D.H.D, OR A.D.D!!!! but i pray abput iot every night & hope shes 100% healthy.
