We haven't gotten any of that stuff. We got our crib just because it was beautiful and cheap.. on sale. and someoen gave us a pack n play. I'm going to try to get EVERYTHING I can for my baby shower and then start buying what we don't have.

babies r us will also give you coupons when you check out that are usually good a week or two out for 10% off, or 15% off one item, of $5 off your total bills. I get one everytime I go and then use it the next time.

Oh, and when I bought my cribs I used the 10% credit card discount and 10% twin discount..bought those and two high chairs brand new and saved over $200

And even better if you save all the coupons you get off samples and stuff... LOL.. I already have a folder with coupons in it. Even those free nursers i got from playtex came with coupons in them... hell yeah... lol....

Not true. If you go into your registry and check it off and then print off the registry purchase log at the store they will give you store credit for it. I got a bouncer seat that I didnt even register for, added it to my registry then checked it off as bought and got money for it. You just have to know how to do it.   It is true though, that gift receipts make it easier, but there are just some people you can't ask for a receipt from- like gramma and great aunty. Oh lord. The hassle.

haha. it works. Hubby's idea. I normally wouldn't have worried about it, but I already bought a great bouncy seat at a garage sale- one of the "higher end" ones that normally cost about $50. Otherwise I would have kept the brand new one. But it was one of the cheaper models and we used the $25 we got back towards baby clothes and bottles anyways. So it's not like we didn't use it for baby. Aunt Linda will never remember what she bought us anyways. haha.

I heard that Target has a really shitty return policy... I would check that out too before you register there...

Shoot my boyfriends mom has 26 grand kids so I got left with all the passed down baby stuff. So all i need is stuff like diapers

Well that's the stupidest thing I've ever heard.Is it a supertarget or a regular target? I have a regular target here and have never had a problem with returning anything. They are pretty awesome about it.
