I was wondering, if I were to pump and then want to freeze my milk, how long can I keep it frozen? Ive heard that breastmilk can be frozen for quite some time so I wanted to find out for myself from some experienced moms. Also, how long can I keep it out after they get done drinking it and dont finish all of it? (on the counter without freezing it again and waisting more). I do know that you cannot freeze milk thats already been frozen and unthawed.

In a regular freezer it keeps for 3 months. In a deep freezer/box freezer, it keeps for 6 months. If you are using previously frozen milk, it can stay at room temperature for an hour only before going bad. If it is fresh or refridgerated milk, it will stay good up to 10 hours at room temperature.

6 months frozen and 1 hour on the counter once started your feeding..but my doc told me the if its not drank yet that it can stay out for 6 hours at room temp...
