haha, you can't forget the classic fairy tales. the way things work sounds really familiar, I know I've read it, but I don't remember.

I like most of the ones you listed and like a million others!
The Velveteen Rabbit, Tuck Everlasting, Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of Nimh (sp?),Island of the Blue Dophin, Charlotte's Web, The Trumpeter Swan, Where the Red Fern Grows, The Sign of the Beaver, The Witch of Blackbird Pond... I'm such a pre teen, haha.

i love leo the lop I have that somewhere too   they have rerelased most of them but, they are totally redone and ruined IMO. Chris talks to the author through email now and again. he lives here in town and when He's not busy redoing the books we're going to ask him to sign chris's copy of Weedle on the needle. He lives here in town!!!!

Tuck Everlasting was goood! Disney made a movie too I think, and they did a decent job. Where the Red Fern Grows was way too sad for me! I remember the Sign of the Beaver! I forgot what its about, but I KNOW I read it.

Do you remember what the name of the book was where all the animals hid inside a fort and fought a weasel, i think, i'm pretty sure the villain was a weasel, and I don't think it was the Nihm books.

I read several of those too. I had to read Where The Red Fern Grows. I didn't want to. I cried and cried and cried. It was so sad. I LOVED the Velveteen Rabbit too.

Hmm.. That sounds familiar but I'm not sure.
I loved this one book that I cannot, for the life of me, remember what it's called. It was about a boy (I think he ran away from home or his parents died.. something) and there was train tracks involved and a knot untieing contest to win pizza.. Something about sneakers...

I met the lady that wrote Sadako and the thousand paper cranes once... She was friends with my boss... Anyways my list of faves:
The Velveteen Rabbit
The Pokey Little Puppy
Nancy Drew
Island of the Blue Dolphin
Harry Potter
Mary Higgins Clark
Dr. Seuss Sleep Book

There are tons more, but these are current and childhood faves... I read voraciously.

I loved to read and read almost anything..but these were some of my favorite series

Babysitters Club
Sweet Valley High/College
Nancy Drew
V.C. Andrews (I was reading these by 11ys old)

I still have two books left from my childhood I have cherished and still have in my bookcase..

Ghost Pony

Taste of blackberries *I had a classmate die when we were in 3rd grade and the teacher gave us these books..the girl that died I knew personally since her mother use to babysit when I was younger*
