re: What were your favorite books as children?

posted 19th Jul
Um.. when I was little, the only books I can remember reading were my mother's textbooks. She was still in college at the time, so they were everywhere. The only one I really got into was her literature anthology, it had alot of poems and plays in it.

If I had the option, I probably would have liked the Winnie the Pooh stories by A.A. Milne.

I LOVED The Boxcar Children! Also, the Babysitter's Club and some series of books about a girl named Karen... I can't for the life of me remember what it was called.

I loved the Babysitter's club as well! And the American Girl Series. And there was another series where it was like reading a girl's diary? I can't remember what the series was called...

So Im not the only one! haha!! My mom taught when I was a kid. She's now a principal. I had every book imaginable. But that one sticks out the most. My son has every book imaginable now. he loves reading. The Jamie Lee Curtis books are hilariuos. He's all into Captain Underpants now. It's a chapter book for older kids. It's complete bathroom humor. I love them.

Yeah, it was something related to the Babysitter's Club... I also loved the Scary Stories books... that had the weird scary stories. And Shel Silverstein and Goosebumps... I was a total bookworm when I was a kid.
