re: Packing up my hospital stuff am i forgetting anything?

I was told to bring a nightgown that buttons down the front instead of pjs because it makes it easier when they are checking you and for breastfeeding. Bring your address book for numbers to call, batteries for your camera, shampoo, conditioner, hair products, brush, comb, makeup (must have for pics...well for me at least), change for vending machines and payphones, tv guide so you can know what's on television, some snacks, books to read, and lip chap I heard you lips can get pretty dry.

A robe or even just a sweater is nice. That way as people come in the room, or you get up, you can slip it on over your pj's. Slippers & travel size toiletries are definitely good things to have!

That is so great that your hubby will get to be there via webcam! My brother is coming home from Iraq next month. they had a program where he got to call home & read stories to my nephew via webcam. Good luck!!!!

no im not giving birth onbase and yea i cant wait to see him via webcam and him be able to talk me thru it (hopefully nothing happens that he cant ) im just glad he can see his daughter be born and talk to me thru it i havent heard his voice in 2 months

We tried to get this for when my son was born, but we had to settle for him being there over the phone.   I thought I might be able to help, but everyone actually gave me more ideas.

yeah thats what im hoping doesnt happen my friend just did it and she said it was great and we okayed it finally with his officers at first they were like no but i talked to the officer LOL and he finally said okay i just hope he can get to the place that does it in time ya know

Yeah I know. Good luck with everything. Do you have family near by to be in the room with you? I had to settle for one of his friend's wives. She was great but definately nowhere close to my DH.

my mom but she wont be in the room with me cuz i will not allow her fiance to be in there

Not in the room at all, or just when it's time to push?? I think she might change her mind and kick her fiance out once her daughter is about to give birth.

im hoping like im driving myself to the hospital if shes at work

you driving yourself to the hospital while your in labor???
and your mom will forget about her fiance once she sees you in pain.

Oh no! You should definately call a cab. I know I couldn't have drove to the hospital safely in all the pain I was in. I had to call a friend at 1:30am to take me and she has two little boys. I felt so bad, but she loved doing it and stayed through the whole labor with me.

yeah i can call my dad but he lives an hr away ive had to drive my self 2 times already one for preterm labor and the other cuz of back pain
